Abstract: A photographic portrait shooting apparatus (30) comprising a camera (1) and a partially transmitting mirror (2) disposed in the optical path (9) between camera lens (3) and the object, wherein an even number, especially two reflecting mirrors (5, 6) are also disposed intermediate the object and the camera (1) or the camera lens (3), respectively. Only one of the reflecting mirrors, in particular the reflecting mirror (6) which directly faces the object or is closest thereto, is designed as a swinging mirror. The partially transmitting mirror (2) has a field of view limited by markings (12). Also, there is provided a camera remote release means (11, 14) operated by the person having his portrait taken.
