The battery state estimation is provided by applying an ARX model and a dual extended Kalman filter. A battery state estimation system estimates a parameter of a battery model using an ARX model and estimates a battery state by applying the estimated parameter of the battery model to a dual extended Kalman filter including a state filter used to estimate a state of charge (SOC) and a weight filter used to estimate a state of health (SOH) of the battery.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for setting a search region for the predicting of a motion vector are disclosed. The apparatus for setting a search region for predicting a motion vector includes: a computation unit configured to compute differences between an origin vector of a search region for a target block for motion vector prediction and predictive motion vectors of multiple blocks adjacent to the target block, and compute a sum of absolute values of the differences; and a search region setting unit configured to set a range value of the search region for the target block by using at least one of the sum of absolute values of the differences and a directionality of the predictive motion vectors for the multiple adjacent blocks. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the amount of computation and the time expended for computation when predicting motion vectors can be significantly reduced.

The method comprises (a) setting a fixed style parameter which cannot change the style, wherein the fixed style parameter is included in style parameters, and a METAFONT consists of the style parameter and a letter drawing function, (b) generating an intermediate code based on the letter drawing function and the fixed style parameter; and (c) generating an output font by combining the intermediate code with a variable style parameter which can change the style, wherein the variable style parameter is included in the style parameter.

Abstract: A curling analysis method includes a step of providing a game information input interface for inputting game information in an order of progress of a curling game, a step of outputting analysis information according to the input game information based on stored accumulative curling game information, and a step of visually displaying the output analysis information. Accordingly, an interface that takes into account of convenience of a user is provided and an efficient curling analysis result is provided to assist in improvement of curling performance.

Abstract: Provided are a paste material, a method of forming the paste material, a wiring member formed from the paste material, and an electronic device including the wiring member. The paste material may include a plurality of liquid metal particles and a polymer binder. The paste material may further include a plurality of nanofillers. At least some of the plurality of nanofillers may each have an aspect ratio equal to or greater than about 3. A content of the plurality of liquid metal particles may be greater than a content of the polymer binder and may be greater than a content of the plurality of nanofillers. The wiring member may be formed by using the paste material, and the wiring member may be used in various electronic devices.

Abstract: An apparatus for an electrochemical discharge machining process is provided. The apparatus includes a holder housing having, an inlet hole, an outlet hole, a first side, and a second side, and containing an electrolyte, a tool holder disposed at the first side, and a first electrode having a first end and a second end. The holder housing is configured to sealingly accommodate the electrolyte unless at least one of the inlet hole and the outlet hole is open. The first end is coupled to the tool holder and the second end passes through the second side. Since the apparatus is moved to a machining position of the work-piece by a worker, additional power for controlling the position thereof is not necessary. In addition, the apparatus is easy to carry and use because of its simple structure.

Abstract: A method of preventing priority inversion in power line communication includes generating a priority notification signal of each node in order to prioritize a packet transmitted by each of the nodes, decreasing carrier detection threshold value of a prioritization section in the priority notification signal of each of the nodes, increasing transmission power level of the prioritization section in the priority notification signal of each of the nodes, transmitting the priority notification signal generated by each of the nodes, prioritizing the nodes by comparing the prioritization sections of the priority notification signals, and preferentially transmitting a packet of a node with a higher priority. This can solve a priority inversion problem between signals in a network to safely transmit signals without collisions and latency.
