Patent number: 8042937Abstract: A temple for an eyeglass frame exerts an urging force onto a facial surface, and has a simple structure to make the manufacture and assembly thereof easy. The temple can be provided at an inexpensive cost. The temple comprises four surfaces of an inner surface 20, an outer surface 30, an upper surface 40, and a lower surface 50 on one end side, which end is linked to armor 70 with a hinge 60 put between the end and the armor 70. The outer surface 30 has outer surface concave portions 31, 32, and 33, each formed in a curved surface parallel to the rotation axis of the hinge 60. The portions of the inner surface 20 corresponding to the outer surface concave portions 31, 32, and 33 are formed in curved surfaces parallel to the curved surfaces of the outer surface concave portions 31, 32, and 33 to form an almost uniform thickness between the portions.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2009Date of Patent: October 25, 2011Assignee: Four Nines, Inc.Inventor: Yuichi Iimura

Patent number: 7980691Abstract: A fixing mechanism of a gut 6 holding a lens 20 onto a half rim 1 prevents the gut 6 from being cut off by a large force acting on a bent part of the gut 6. The fixing mechanism includes an attachment part 2 of the half rim 1, to which a part of the periphery of the lens 20 is held, the lens 20, and the gut 6 fixing the lens 20 to the attachment part 2 by pressing the periphery of the lens 20 and thereby pressing the lens 20 toward the attachment part 2. The fixing mechanism further includes holding members 8 and 11 holding each end of the gut 6 on the both sides of the attachment part 2 of the half rim 1, which holding members 8 and 11 are arranged in hollow parts 7 and 10, respectively, formed on both the side parts of the attachment part 2 of the half rim 1.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2010Date of Patent: July 19, 2011Assignee: Four Nines, Inc.Inventor: Yuichi Iimura

Patent number: 7722188Abstract: An eyeglass frame is formed so as to eliminate pain to a wearer when the frame nips the head of the wearer for a long period of usage. The eyeglass frame includes a front frame made of plastic or metal for holding lenses, a pair of elastic bodies, a first end of each elastic body is attached to either side of a rear face of the front frame and is bent inwardly at a central portion thereof, and a temple disposed at a second end of each elastic body. The temple has an end cover. One of the first end and the second end of the elastic body is connected to a hinge.Type: GrantFiled: April 7, 2008Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: Four Nines, Inc.Inventor: Tetsuo Mikame

Patent number: 7513618Abstract: A nose pad capable of achieving a comfortable wearing sensation, which has no possibility of forming an indentation on side surfaces of a nose resulting in discomfort, is provided. The nose pad is provided with a pad body and a pad core that is integrally provided at a center portion of the pad body. In the pad body, a front surface, a back surface, and a side surface are constructed in combination with one or more curved surfaces. The front surface of the pad body is formed into a curved surface approximately conforming to a nose surface, and therefore a load from eyeglasses can be dispersed over an entire pad body.Type: GrantFiled: August 22, 2007Date of Patent: April 7, 2009Assignee: Four Nines, Inc.Inventor: Tetsuo Mikame

Patent number: 4882009Abstract: A brine concentrator utilizing two separate concentrating devices in combination wherein a first concentrating device comprises a plurality of serpentine pipes interposed within a concentrator tank containing a dilute brine solution and a second concentrating device, including a venturi, is attached to the upper end of the concentrator tank and connected to receive exhaust gases from an exterior source. The brine solution which has been concentrated by the first concentrating device exit the tank through an output opening and is introduced into the venturi via a plurality of nozzles where it is mixed with the exhaust gases.A venting stack is also attached to the upper end of the tank for venting the exhaust gases emitted from the venturi and pre-heating dilute brine solution, which is introduced into the tank through the venting stack. As the solution travels down the stack and into the tank, it comes into contact with the exhaust gases exiting the tank from the venturi.Type: GrantFiled: July 13, 1987Date of Patent: November 21, 1989Assignee: Four Nines, Inc.Inventors: Joseph J.
