Abstract: A kit of parts for assembling a control assembly for a roller blind includes a plurality of driven parts each having a tubular body with a different diameter and/or profile adapted to be inserted into and drivingly engage a respective roller blind tube. The kit further includes a plurality of mounting parts each having an outer face incorporating a different arrangement of securing formations adapted to be engageable with a respective mounting bracket, and a drive part including (i) a housing adapted to be coupled with any one of the mounting parts and (ii) a drive rotatingly mounted within the housing and adapted to be coupled with any one of the driven parts.

Abstract: A screen assembly for a window includes a pair of parallel and spaced apart side rails locatable against respective sides of a window opening, and a head assembly including a roller upon which is wound a screen. The head assembly extends between the side rails and is adapted to be mounted on upper ends of the side rails to be supported thereon against and/or adjacent to an upper side of the window opening. Each side rail is linearly extendable whereby the upper and lower ends of the side rails frictionally engage upper and lower faces of a window opening to secure the side rails, and the head assembly mounted thereon, in place within the window opening.

Abstract: An operating mechanism is provided for a screen assembly having an elongate endless pull cord hanging from the screen assembly in a loop. The operating mechanism has a housing having an opening at an upper end thereof. At least a lower portion of the pull cord can pass into the housing to be enclosed therein. A guide means for guiding passage of the pull cord through the housing. The guide means has a locking means adapted to selectively restrain first or second sides of a loop defined by the pull cord. The guide means includes a cord-retaining member engaging a lower end of the looped pull cord. The cord-retaining member is moveable within the housing between vertically spaced first and second positions, the second position being above the first position, the cord-retaining member being biased towards the first position by biasing means.

Abstract: A roller blind assembly includes a roller, a generally rectangular panel formed from a flexible sheet material having an upper marginal edge secured to the roller and a free lower marginal edge, a screen in the form of a web of flexible material being detachably mounted on the free lower marginal of the panel edge via a releasable fastening device, the releasable fastening device comprising cooperating first and second fastening components being respectively provided on the lower marginal edge of the panel and an upper edge of the screen, wherein the first and second fastening components comprise mating elongate members each having a substantially U shaped cross section to define cooperating hook-like members adapted to releasably engage one another to support the screen from the panel.

Abstract: A screen assembly for a window comprising a screen supported by an elongate support member adapted to be mounted in an upper region of the window opening, a pair of mounting brackets being provided for attachment to respective sides of the window opening adjacent the top face of the window opening, each end of the elongate support member having means for engaging a respective mounting bracket, whereby the mounting brackets may be attached the sides of a window opening such that the support member may be engaged onto the mounting brackets to mount the support member in the window opening.
