Abstract: Backpacks, backpack systems, backpack inserts and related methods are provided herein. A backpack can include a front wall, first and second side walls, a bottom extending between bottom portions of the front wall and the first and second side walls and a top panel extending between top portions of the front wall and the first and second side walls. The top panel can include a fastener for securing the top panel to the front wall and portions of the first and second side walls such that the top panel is openable and closeable. A rear panel is provided opposite the front wall and extending between first and second side walls, the bottom, and the top panel. The rear panel includes a fastener for securing the rear panel to the top panel and at least a portion of the first and second side walls such that the rear panel is openable and closeable.
