Abstract: A securing mechanism for retaining a daughter board upon the primary board includes a base, which is moveably assembled upon the main board, and a latch assembled upon the base and moveable between a locking position and an unlocking position. The base forms a support platform upwardly abutting against the underside of the daughter board and equipped with an arc protrusion for receipt within a notch of the daughter board, and a grounding piece with one end mechanically and electrically connecting a grounding pad of the daughter board and the other end mechanically and electrically connecting a grounding pad on the main board. The base forms a horizontal slot to receive the main body so as to retain the base to the main body in position in the vertical direction. The latch forms a pressing face downwardly pressing an upper side of the daughter board.

Abstract: A receptacle connector for mating with a plug connector having a mating tongue and a latch thereof, includes an insulative housing defining a mating slot extending along a longitudinal direction to receive the mating tongue of the plug connector, and an outer metallic shield defining a primary space to receive the housing and a secondary space communicatively beside the primary space to receive the latch of the plug connector. A plurality of contacts are disposed in the housing to mechanically and electrically connect to the mating tongue. An inner metallic shield is attached upon a long side of the housing to separate the primary space and the secondary space from each other in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A CPU socket has an insulative housing equipped with two groups of contacts of different pitches from each other wherein either each group of contacts are arranged with the corresponding contacting arms extending in opposite directions to counterbalance the imposed/reaction forces itself or the two group of contacts are arranged with the corresponding contacting arms extending in opposite direction to somewhat counterbalance the imposed/reaction force during receiving a CPU therein, and or in a mixed manner, i.e., one group of contact with the corresponding contacting arms in the same direction while the other of contacts with the corresponding contacting arms extending in both opposite directions to achieve the total reaction forces in a substantial balanced manner.

Abstract: A cable connector includes an insulative main housing having a front mating portion defining a capsular tube, and a rear holding portion with a sleeve; an insulative contact housing with a pair of cable contacts received therein and a metallic EMI shell covering an exterior of the contact housing; a cable mechanically and electrically connected to the cable contact. The contact housing with the associated cable contacts and the EMI shell is inserted into the insulative main housing from a rear side of the insulative main housing wherein the contact housing is received within the front mating portion and the cable is received within the sleeve. Abstract: An electrical connector includes a connection main part surrounded by the seat frame, and a CPU carrier for carrying the CPU and a load plate for downwardly pressing the CPU respectively pivotally located at two opposite ends of the seat frame in the front-to-back direction. A set of rotation mechanism is rotatably assembled upon one end to receive the CPU carrier. A pair of supporting arms are unitarily formed with one end of the seat frame, forming a pair of locking recesses having one open side. The seat frame includes a stopper opposite to the pair of locking recesses in the lengthwise direction. The rotation mechanism is pre-assembled as one piece and successively assembled upon the seat frame along the lengthwise direction with the pivot engaged within the pair of locking recesses and a middle section of the torsion spring engaged with the stopper.

Abstract: A headphone control system for use within a headphone includes a temperature sensor for detecting whether the circumference temperature of the headphone is relatively far from the human temperature implying the headphone is no longer worn by the user, and a gravity sensor for detecting whether the headphone is stationary implying that the headphone is not used for enabling a power saving mode, or is moving implying that the headphone is not yet unused for maintaining operation. The detection constantly is applied to the headphone disregarding whether the headphone is in an operation mode or a power saving mode so as to efficiently have the headphone operated in response to currently using or power-saved in response to non-using.

Abstract: A plug connector for mating with a socket connector includes: a printed circuit board, an insulative housing partially covering the printed circuit board; a locking mechanism housed in the insulative housing, and an elastic piece matched with the locking mechanism, wherein the locking mechanism includes a pressing portion protruding from the insulative housing and a locking portion integrally formed with the pressing portion, one end of the locking portion exposing outside the insulative housing to be locked with the socket connector.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, and plural rows of contact modules therein. Each contact module includes plural contacts integrally formed within an insulator/wafter which extends in a longitudinal direction. In each contact module, each contact includes a main body with opposite contacting arms on upper and lower sections wherein the contacts in the same contact carrier are originally linked with the neighboring contacts around lateral sides of the main body for insert-molding consideration, and the corresponding linking sections are removed for disconnecting the neighboring the contacts after insert-molding to form the final complete contact module. Each contacting arm forms a hole with two spaced beams by two sides of the hole. The contact may further include a holding tab exposed in the hole so as to allow a gripping tool to be engaged thereon for assembling the contact module into the channel of the housing.

Abstract: A card edge connector includes an insulative elongated housing with two opposite end towers in the longitudinal direction, two rows of contacts disposed in the housing and opposite to each other in the transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, and a pair of ejectors rotatably retained to the corresponding end towers, respectively. Each end tower unitarily forms a U-shaped structure for receiving a side edge region of the daughter card. A metallic U-shaped reinforcing piece is assembled upon each U-shaped structure in a compliance manner to directly confront the corresponding side edge of the daughter card in the longitudinal direction while being unexposed from the side edge region of the daughter card in the transverse direction.

Abstract: The load force bolster assembly includes a metallic stiffener. A carrier associated with a CPU (Central Processing Unit) is located upon the load force bolster assembly and positioned upon the electrical connector. A heat sink is located upon both the carrier and the load force bolster assembly wherein a torsioned wire of the bolster assembly provides a downward force upon an up-and-down movable stud which is secured to a screw of the heat sink so as to downwardly push the heat sink, thus enhancing the normal forces among the heat sink, the CPU and the contacts of the electrical connector. To efficiently hold the torsioned wire in position around a bottom corner of the stiffener, a retention groove is formed around the top portion of the restricting pole, and a pressing ring is downwardly snapped into the retention groove so as to restrain the torsioned wire in position.
