Patents Assigned to Fracmaster, LLC
  • Patent number: 11047205
Abstract: A valve seal assembly that provides for external pressure to be introduced to an energized seal of a valve, and compress the seal against a gate with enough force to block any paths where sand and chemicals would otherwise travel into valve body cavity or void. The external pressure introduced through pressure fitting makes the parts move like piston forcing the parts to compress together eliminating the machined tolerances or gaps required for the gate to be opened or closed. The compression can be provided by hydraulic pressure devices through injection ports. A separate valve seal assembly can be provided for each face of the gate and both assemblies can be activated when the fluids are flowing (open position) and an upstream valve seal assembly activated when the gate is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 9850740
Abstract: A valve seal assembly can be energized by external pressure, such as by hydraulic pressure introduced via injection ports, so as to press the seal assembly against a gate with enough force to block paths where sand and chemicals would otherwise enter the valve body cavity or void. The external pressure makes the parts of the seal assembly move like a piston, forcing the seat of the seal assembly to press against the gate, eliminating the machined tolerances or gaps required for the gate to be opened or closed. A separate valve seal assembly can be provided for each face of the gate, and both assemblies can be activated when the gate is in an open position (fluid is flowing through the valve), and an upstream valve seal assembly can be activated alone when the gate is in a closed position.

  • Patent number: 8522865
Abstract: An automated flowback system allows control and operation of the system from a remote location away from the dangers of high-pressure gases or abrasives traveling at high velocities that cause damage or failure to equipment piping valves. The system provides techniques and mechanical components installed in flowlines in any position without having to cut and thread, weld or fabricate pipe to fit. This system includes an expansion coupling with axial adjusting lengths adequate to compensate for variations between two points. The expansion coupling is secured and installed into position eliminating field cut and threading, welding or fabrication. The system also includes a blast barrel with an installed choke nipple, choke bean or choke insert with a chosen orifice size for multiple chambered ports. The blast barrel retracts between two fixed points without having to dismantle any connections or be removed from the fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 8424599
Abstract: An automated closed loop flowback and separation system that allows automated control and remote operation of a flowback operation from a safe distance without any fluid or gas release to the atmosphere. Four-phase separation tanks allow the transport gas, well bore cuttings, produced oil, and produced water to be automatically separated and transported through process piping for reuse or sale, eliminating the need for auxiliary equipment. Flow measurement instruments, pressure transmitters, and level transmitters work in conjunction with an automated blast choke to send data to a programmable logic controller for use in calculating the erosion status of the choke restriction and adjusting the choke to compensate. The programmable logic controller works with a touch-screen or similar human-machine interface to allow remote monitoring and control or automated control of the system. The automated blast choke can vary the choke restriction opening based on the pressure differential and flow rate conditions.
