Abstract: A method on a web server for facilitating gifting of goods or services over a communications network is disclosed. The method includes receiving a message including a unique ticket identifier from an event venue, responsive to scanning of a first user's ticket at the event venue, accessing a ticket record in an attached database, transmitting a message to one or more other users, wherein the message identifies the first user and the event venue, and wherein the message includes a link that, when activated, provides a graphical user interface that allows another user to purchase a product or service for pick-up by the first user at the event venue. The method further includes processing electronic payment information of the other user, generating an electronic coupon for redemption of the product or service at the event venue, and transmitting the electronic coupon to the first user.

Abstract: A method on a web server for facilitating sharing of tickets over a communications network is disclosed. The method includes storing ticket records for tickets purchased by a user for an event venue, generating electronic tickets corresponding to the ticket records, wherein each electronic ticket is configured for redemption at an event venue. The method further includes transmitting the electronic tickets to the user, and receiving a unique identifier for a friend of the user. The method further includes accessing a ticket record corresponding to one of the electronic tickets and replacing the unique identifier for the user with the unique identifier for the friend. The method further includes transmitting the electronic ticket corresponding to the ticket record to the mobile computing device of the friend via the communications network.

Abstract: A method facilitating purchase of goods over a communications network is disclosed. The method includes a mobile computing device reading buyer enrollment data and purchase card data from a purchase card of the buyer, encrypting the purchase card data and transmitting the data to a server. The method also includes a server generating a record associated with the buyer, transmitting encrypted purchase card data and a request for payment to a payment gateway, and transmitting an order for the one or more products. The method further includes the server detecting the passage of a predetermined period of time, accessing the record of the buyer, reading the encrypted purchase card data and the product identifier from the record, transmitting the encrypted purchase card data and a request for payment to the payment gateway, and transmitting an order for the one or more products.

Abstract: A method on a server for managing sales activities and group buying offers for a plurality of users over a communications network is disclosed. The method includes receiving sales transaction data from the users, receiving recruit enrollment data from the users, processing the sales transaction data and the recruit enrollment data to generate aggregate data pertaining to sales, transmitting the aggregate data to the users, receiving a group buying offer, transmitting the group buying offer to the users, receiving acceptances of the group buying offer, calculating a number of acceptances of the group buying offer, effectuating a sale of the product or service of the group buying offer to each of the users who accepted the offer, if the number of acceptances of the group buying offer is greater than a minimum number, and attributing a particular sale to a recruiter, so as to award a commission.

The method includes receiving a discount offer, wherein a discount offer comprises at least a product or service description, an initial price, a discount price less than the initial price, a minimum number of acceptances and a time deadline, and transmitting the discount offer to the plurality of users. The method further includes receiving acceptances of the discount offer, and executing a preliminary credit card authorization transaction for each acceptance received, at the initial price. The method further includes calculating a number of acceptances, detecting the time deadline, and effectuating a sale of the product or service at the discount price to each user that accepted, if the number of acceptances is greater than or equal to the minimum number of acceptances, including executing a final credit card authorization transaction.
