  • Patent number: 6106326
Abstract: An electrical connector housing is formed with a retaining module for retaining electrical conductors with the housing. The retaining module is comprised of modular frame pieces having the same shape, but alternatingly reversely orientated in a row. Electrical conductors are sandwiched in grooves between adjacent frame pieces. The frame pieces are ultrasonically welded together. The housing also has two lock modules with snap-lock rocker arms. The lock modules are ultrasonically welded to the frame pieces.

  • Patent number: 6056604
Abstract: An electrical receptacle terminal comprising a frame, and a leaf spring. The frame has a receptacle section for a male terminal. The receptacle section has a general shell configuration with one side of the shell having a seam therein. The seam is located to section the side of the receptacle section into two cantilevered side sections with each side section being cantilevered from an opposite wall of the receptacle section parallel to the seam. The leaf spring is movably captured within the receptacle. The leaf spring is biased against the shell of the receptacle section with opposite ends of the leaf spring contacting the side of the shell. The leaf spring has two pairs of support surfaces. One pair of the support surfaces is located at each of the opposite ends of the leaf spring.

  • Patent number: 6055158
Abstract: An electronic component heat sink assembly comprising a printed circuit board having electronic components; and a box surrounding the printed circuit board. The box has a first box member with a molded plastic frame and a heat transfer member connected to the molded plastic frame. The frame of the first box member can also form part of an electrical header connector. The heat transfer member extends through the molded plastic frame and has portions which extend from different sides of the molded plastic frame. The portions of the heat transfer member extend from a first one of the sides of the molded plastic frame and are thermally connected to the electronic components such that heat from the electronic components is transferred out of the box, through the molded plastic frame, by the heat transfer member.

  • Patent number: 5924885
Abstract: An axial airbag connector with a connector assurance slide including a plug connector, a bottom cover attached to the plug connector, and a sliding cover with forwardly extending secondary locking arms. The sliding cover can be locked in either a forward or a rear position. When the sliding cover is in its forward position, the secondary locking arms force plug locking arms at the front of the plug connector outwardly so as to engage the plug connector in its mating socket. A displacement limiter is used to limit the range of movement of the sliding cover between its forward and rear positions.

  • Patent number: 5853298
Abstract: An airbag igniter plug including a plug housing, a removable cover latched onto the housing, and a secondary locking clip having locking arms which are inserted into grooves in the cover and which are slidable from a rear unlocking position to a front locking position. A resilient finger on the locking clip cooperates with a ramp on the cover to retain the locking clip in its unlocking or locking position. When the locking clip is moved into its locking position, its locking arms bias the locking arms at the front of the plug body outwardly so as to engage their locking catches and prevent unmating of the plug from its mating socket.
