Abstract: A device, kit, and method are provided for anchoring an element on an exterior face of a wall of a building. The method includes, from the inside of the wall, running a line into a hole passing through the wall and fixing said line to an element anchoring device. The device comprising a fastener of said element, a bearing means, a first fixing means and a guide able to guide a second fixing means that collaborates with said first means. The method includes, from the inside, pulling said line in order to introduce the guide into said hole and, from the inside and using the guide, fixing the two fixing means together to press the bearing means firmly against the exterior face of the wall.

Abstract: A method is provided for processing flows in a wireless communications network. Data packets belonging to different flows are received by a device of a communications network and stored in a queue to enable them to be sent by the device over a radio channel to at least one node. Access to the radio channel is time-shared between a plurality of nodes. The method includes: at least one step of determining a duration associated with a flow, the duration corresponding to a virtual duration needed for sending packets of said flow stored in the queue; and in order to send a data packet, a step of selecting one of the flows amongst a plurality of flows, in which step a flow is selected for which the associated duration is the smallest, and a step of sending a packet of the selected flow as extracted from the queue.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for managing a terminal of a user of a telecommunications network. The terminal is connected to the telecommunications network via at least one access network. The method includes a step, executed on receiving a registration request including an address of record of the user, an address of contact of the terminal, and an access network type of the terminal, of storing in a database an association between the address of record of the user, the access network type of the terminal, and the address of contact of the terminal.

Abstract: A method is provided for encoding at least one image, divided into macroblocks, one macroblock including a set of blocks de pixels. The method includes, for at least one current macroblock of a current image, at least two iterations of the following steps: allocation of a priority level for encoding to at least one pixel of the current macroblock, selection of a pixel with the highest priority level called the priority pixel, prediction of a set of pixels including the priority pixel and a step of encoding a remainder from prediction for a region made up of predicted pixels of the macroblock, called the predicted region, the encoding step being used as and when the predicted region meets a predetermined encoding criterion.

Abstract: A method and device are provided for detecting acoustic shocks in an audio stream. The method includes: breaking down the audio stream into audio frames; analyzing the audio frames in order to assign each audio frame a category value from among a plurality of predefined values; and determining the probability of an acoustic shock occurring in a current frame, based on a sequence of a given length of category values assigned to a set of frames, using a two-state Markov model, defined by a predetermined transition matrix and transmission matrix.

Abstract: Methods are provided for communication in a broadcast group and for collecting real time data in a broadcast group. The broadcast group includes a set of sources that send real time data, the set being made up of at least two sources and a server. A data-sending source of the group sends first time information relating to a first exchange of control data of the first source with the server by broadcasting to the members of the group. The first exchange is the one and only exchange of control data of the first source with the members of the broadcast group. The data-sending source receives second time information sent by the server and relating to the first exchange of control data between the first source and the server and to a second exchange of control data between the second source and the server. The source also receives second time data from other sources of the group and determines a transmission time between itself and another source of the group from the first and second received time information.

Abstract: A method is provided for authenticating a first entity and a second entity at a third entity. The first and third entities share a first secret key, and the second and third entities share a second secret key. The method includes steps of: dispatching by the third entity to the first entity of a challenge, calculation by the first entity, using the first secret key, of an authentication value; dispatching by the first entity to the second entity the authentication value, calculation by the second entity, using the second secret key, of an authentication response; dispatching by the second entity to the third entity of the authentication response; calculation by the third entity of an expected authentication response; and comparison of the authentication response received with the expected calculated authentication response.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for allocating carriers from a list of carriers in a telecommunication network. Each of the carriers allow transmission of a transmission control frame, each of said transmission control frame has a data block corresponding to a data stream and an indication of the previous carrier allocated to the data stream. The method includes, for a transmission control frame and a carrier selected for allocation to the transmission control frame in the list of carriers, the steps of determining the number of binary bits needed to identify the number of carriers in the list of carriers, coding the indication based on the determined number of binary bits, and removing the allocated carrier from the list of carriers.

Abstract: A method for consulting a voice message received and a method for providing a compounded voice message. The compounded voice message is composed of at least one first and one second voice component and is associated with a group of items of information relating to the voice components. The method for consultation includes reading at least one voice component of the voice message, detecting at least one user interaction concomitant upon the reading of the at least one voice component, sending at least one signal relating to the interaction detected, and receiving a command of an action to be performed relating to a voice component read from the voice message and to at least one item of information of the group of items of information associated with the voice message. Also provided is a device implementing the method for consulting a compounded voice message.

Abstract: Embodiments of methods and devices for classifying background noise contained in an audio signal are disclosed. In one embodiment, the device includes a module for extracting from the audio signal a background noise signal, termed the noise signal. Also included is a second that calculates a first parameter, termed the temporal indicator. The temporal indicator relates to the temporal evolution of the noise signal. The second module also calculates a second parameter, termed the frequency indicator. The frequency indicator relates to the frequency spectrum of the noise signal. Finally, the device includes a third module that classifies the background noise by selecting, as a function of the calculated values of the temporal indicator and of the frequency indicator, a class of background noise from among a predefined set of classes of background noise.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for changing a location area allocated to a current terminal attached to equipment belonging to a first location area of a communication network. The equipment furthermore belongs to at least one second location area of the communication network. The first area and the at least one second area are able to overlap one another. The method includes: broadcasting, via a broadcast channel, an identifier of the first location area and an additional location datum including at least one identifier of the at least one second location area; and selecting, for the current terminal, from the first and the at least one second location area, a current location area, according to the additional location datum and at least one predetermined selection parameter.

Abstract: A system is provided for updating the conditions under which a telecommunication device accesses services provided by a telecommunication network. The system includes a network access point through which the device accesses the network, and a database, wherein the system authenticates the device via the access point on the basis of authentication data transferred by the device as well as the database storing the profile associated with the authentication data. The access point controls the conditions under which the device accesses the network services once the device has been authenticated and on the basis of the device profile. The system generates a second authentication command for the device via the access point following an alteration of the profiled associated with the authentication data.

Abstract: A method is provided for allocating at least one access point to a mobile terminal in a cellular network formed by multiple cells each controlled by an access point, wherein the mobile terminals move about. The method includes the following steps: locating a mobile terminal inside a current cell; identifying, using the locating, a target cell with which the terminal is likely to be connected; transmitting in advance to the terminal a target context, comprising at least one identifier of the access point of the target cell; implementing a procedure for connecting said terminal to the access point of the target cell, based on predetermined cell modification criterion.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for managing sessions during which a terminal and a server exchange information blocks organized as a plurality of streams. The method includes storing in a data structure first data determined on the basis of an information block dedicated to signaling and coming from the terminal, the first data identifying the stream that transports the information block, the stream belonging to a session. The method further includes storing second data linked to the first data, the second data being determined on the basis of at least one other information block dedicated to signaling and transported by the same stream, the second data identifying the other stream or streams of the session.

Abstract: A system, method, device and interface for selecting data for a wireless device. The system, method, device and interface provide for categorizing selected data based on two or more categories, determining an action based on the categorization, and transferring the selected data and the determined action to the wireless device. In one embodiment, the categorization of the selected data may also be transferred to the wireless device. The categorizing of the selected data may include receiving input related to the categorizing, and altering a categorizing algorithm utilized in performing the categorization in response to the received input. The input may include a new category and/or a change in an existing category.

Abstract: A method is provided for allowing an exchange of context information within a group of users sharing one and the same identifier. The method includes transmitting information between at least one first terminal and a second terminal associated with a common identifier. The method includes a step of sending by the first terminal a notification of state intended at least for the second terminal and carrying an item of information relating to the context in which a user of the first terminal finds himself. The method allows members of a community of users, which is identified by a unique telephone number, to avail themselves of context information relating to the other members of the community at any moment, and in particular at the precise moment at which a setup request for establishing a communication is presented to them.

The method includes receiving an intent from a user of the user equipment; gathering a time window of validity for the intent; receiving location information from the user equipment; determining a mode of transportation based on the location information; and, for the duration of the time window, querying a location database of points of interest (POIs) to retrieve candidate POIs that match the user intent and are located within reach of the user equipment based on the time left of the time window and the mode of transportation; presenting the candidate POIs to the user equipment.

Abstract: A system, method, device, computer program, user interface, and apparatus to associate an object of interest of a map in a location database with a geo-fence. The method includes selecting a first time interval; selecting a mode of transportation; determining terrestrial routes starting from the object of interest; for each determined terrestrial route, determining an end point that can be reach on the terrestrial route within the first time interval using the selected mode of transportation; and storing a geo-fence for the first time interval and mode of transportation in associating with the determined end points.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to perform a cryptographic task on at least one numerical datum in an electronic hardware component. The method includes a step of at least partial use of an encryption function. This encryption function includes a basic encryption function obtained by the addition between an intermediate function arising from composition of a coding function with a first function, and a second function. This method can be applied to the encryption of a datum or to the decryption of a datum. Also, a method is provided for generating a public key and a device able to implement one of these methods.
