Abstract: Permanent safety device for preventing the accidental firing of a weapon whose firing mechanism comprises a trigger, a hammer, a loaded spring which exerts a force along a given line of action on said hammer, retention means which hold the hammer in opposition to said spring and, inserted between the trigger and said hammer retention means, a lever which disengages these latter at the time of firing as a result of the trigger being pulled. The abovementioned firing mechanism includes a stop piece which can be moved between an interference position in which it interferes with the action of said spring on the hammer and a position in which it does not interfere with said action, and vice versa, and a mechanism, connected to the trigger, which is designed to move said stop piece out of said interference position only if the trigger is pulled.

Abstract: A tensioning device used for achieving mass-production interchangeability of the barrels for a shotgun with articulated barrels is positioned between the barrels and the breech of the gun and comprises a rod-shaped element constituted by a fixed portion and a movable portion guided for moving on the fixed portion and subject to the action of a powerful spring which urges it against a tenon. Means are provided for adjustably engaging the rod-shaped element on the tenon.

Abstract: A semi-automatic gas-operated shotgun includes a safety device which locks the firing mechanisms of the gun and simultaneously locks the breech-block slide in the open position, spaced from the cartridge chamber of the gun, by the operation of a single safety button.

Abstract: A gun-loaded indicator device for shotguns of the type in which a cartridge chamber is defined at the breech end of a barrel removably mounted in a stock (3), comprises a feeler ball (9) movable within a through hole (10) provided in the breech end and opening into the cartridge chamber and extending radially to it and comprises a bar-like lever (13) pivoted within the stock (3) and having a first end (13a) maintained in contact with the feeler ball (9) and its second end (13b) subjected to spring means (15); the lever (13) is angularly mobile within a respective conjugate seat (16) from a position in which the first end (13a) of the lever (13) is in line with the stock (3) to a position in which the first end (13a) projects laterally from it.

Abstract: In a device for extracting cartridge cases from the cartridge chambers of so-called swing-barrel shotguns, an extractor is held in a retracted position relatively to the cartridge chamber by a check mechanism activated by a re-set device which comprises a body having a selected mass and being guided for movement on the gun along an interfering path with the check mechanism and driven along said path by the recoil force brought about by firing.

Abstract: A pack-type clip for shotgun cartridges comprises a container of box-like construction and elongate shape with an open end and two oppositely located, respectively muzzle and breech, minor walls, as well as major side walls. On each of the major side walls, proximately of the breech side minor wall, there is formed a lengthwise guide rib, the lengthwise ribs being oppositely located to face each other and set mutually apart by a distance substantially equal to the diameter of a cartridge.

Abstract: A weapon for launching a number of grenades, simultaneously or otherwise, includes a plate mounting on which three launching tubes are pivoted in correspondence with their breeches about respective elevating pins. Two of the launching tubes are connected to their elevating pins by ball-joints. The weapon also has a device for elevating the launching tubes and a device for traversing the launching tubes.

Abstract: A device for retaining cartridges in a tubular magazine of a semi-automatic shotgun when the cartridge in the firing chamber is being replaced, comprising a spring-loaded catch lever which is pivoted to the gun about a transverse axis, so as to be angularly displaceable between an inoperative position allowing the discharge of cartridges from the magazine, and an operative position blocking the discharge of cartridges from the magazine. The lever is displaced manually into its operative position and is held in this position by the action of the magazine spring until the gun is fired, whereupon the recoil causes the automatic release of the lever to its inoperative position.

Abstract: A shot-gun with gas take-off has a fore end stock which is movable longitudinally of the barrel and lockable selectively in each of two positions: in one position gases from the discharge of a cartridge in the gun bleed from the barrel into the chamber of a piston/cylinder unit to drive the piston to operate an arming rod of the shot gun automatically. In the other position, a valve member prevents the discharge gases from entering the cylinder chamber, these gases being vented to the external environment: the stock is rigidly locked to the piston for manual operation of the arming rod by "pump" action on the stock in the latter position.

Abstract: A safety device for the trigger mechanism of a gas-operated-automatic/pump-action-manual shot-gun comprises an over-center thrust spring assembly pivotally connected at one end to a fixed point on the gun and at the other end to a stop member defining lever. The thrust spring assembly is pivotable between a first position, in which it biases the said lever into an operative position, bearing against the breechblock carrier, and a second position in which it stabilizes the said lever in an inoperative position, out of the path of movement of the breechblock carrier, preventing rebound of the stop member defining lever into the said path.

Abstract: A semi-automatic gun having a gas operated device for actuating a reloading mechanism thereof. The reloading mechanism includes a cartridge magazine which extends parallel to the gun and the actuating device includes an annular piston sliding over the cartridge magazine in an annular chamber defined between the cartridge magazine and a cylinder, closed at one end, which surrounds a portion of the cartridge magazine. Gas transfer ducts convey gas from the interior of the barrel of the gun, through the wall of the cylinder into the annular chamber defined thereby. The annular piston has a peripheral groove therein at a position adjacent the gas transfer ducts so that gas entering the annular chamber impinges on the piston and not on the wall of the cartridge magazine; subsequently these gases transfer to a lower chamber between the end of the piston and the closed end of the annular chamber along a passage between the piston and the wall of the chamber itself.

Abstract: A gas-operated device for activating the reloading mechanism of an automatic rifle comprising a cylinder housing and a movable piston, both mounted coaxially upon a cartridge store, the whole assembly being affixed below the rifle barrel. Gases from a cartridge exploded in the rifle breech are bled from the barrel through a duct into an annular chamber between the piston and a closed end of the cylinder to drive the piston and activate the reloading mechanism. Immediately prior to this bleeding, gases are bled through an additional duct into an interstice between the piston and the cylinder to act as a `gaseous diaphragm` preventing leakage of the driving gases from the annular chamber, except when the pressure of these driving gases is excessively high.
