Abstract: An apparatus for stripping pressure-sensitive labels from a backing sheet including a label stripping assembly for initially stripping a portion of the labels from the backing sheet, a conveyor for transporting parcels in sequence past the stripping assembly, an elastic belt conveyor for stripping the labels from the backing sheet and transporting the labels to the parcels in timed sequence to the movement of the parcels on the conveyor, and a pair of pivotal roller assemblies for moving a portion of the elastic belt conveyor past the labels on the backing sheet to strip labels from the backing sheet.
