    Abstract: A hand tool device incorporates a fluid operated mechanism actuable by a plunger pressurizing a reservoir to force fluid past a resiliently biased valve to a fluid filled cylinder accommodating a piston carrying a contact member for clamping a work piece in the manner of an adjustable wrench or pliers. Continued operation of the plunger increases the pressure applied to the work piece.
