Abstract: Electronically controlled postage metering machine and/or free stamping machine having a microprocessor, a non-volatile memory and a register by means of which adjustment of postage values, date, type of mailing and cleaning of a preset value with actually charged postage sum, including peripheral lines and a keyboard connected to the microprocessor, the non-volatile memory and the register for introducing variable information and signals for linkage with preset data stored in the memory control modules prestaged to the non-volatile memory, the keyboard and the register for blocking direct access via the peripheral lines to the non-volatile memory and for unloading the microprocessor, the control module having means cooperating with the register for controlling phase adjustment of stepping motors for print rollers of the postage metering machine via non-inverted and inverted outputs of the register, and stationary sensor means for establishing positions of the stepping motors and for transmitting information
Abstract: Chassis for postage metering machines having a printing-cylinder shaft supported by ball bearings, including a base plate, a U-shaped frame carried by the base plate and formed with two similarly shaped legs having holes formed therein for accommodating the ball bearings of the printing-cylinder shaft, a peripheral edge defining the holes being formed with incisions for receiving therein means for adjusting the ball bearings in said holes, pivotable retaining brackets fastened to the legs, and two rods connecting the legs to one another at an open part of the U-shaped frame for mutually bracing the legs.
Abstract: Adjusting device for postage metering and value stamping machines for adjusting printing rollers and cylinders which includes type wheels mounted in a printing cylinder having a shaft, each of the type wheels having a respective stepping motor operatively associated therewith for adjusting the respective type wheel by means of a respective toothed rack and a respective double toothed rack, the toothed racks and the stepping motors being disposed radially to the printing-cylinder shaft and the double toothed racks being disposed parallel to one another, a selective printing roller adjustable by one of the double toothed racks via a belt drive, the toothed racks and the double toothed racks being coupled by a hook-connection, one of the respective toothed and double toothed racks having a widened hook-shaped part, the double toothed racks being adjustable beyond a maximally required number of steps of the type wheels, and the ends of the double toothed racks being guidable laterally out of the printing cylinder
