  • Patent number: 4682825
Abstract: The security device of this invention comprises a transparent panel normally locked edgewise upright in the plane of front edges of a pair of vertically spaced shelves of a selfservice rack, blocking forward removal of all but the lowermost one or a predetermined few of a stack of like articles on the lower one of those shelves. At its top edge the panel has a link connection with the front edge of the upper of those shelves. Its lower edge portion is received in an upwardly opening groove in a fixed bracket, and the bottom of that groove so supports the panel that the link connection cooperates with resilience of the panel and bracket to provide a snap toggle action between locked and unlocked or releasing conditions. From the releasing condition the panel can be raised edgewise out of the groove and swung up to an inverted position and hooked there, permitting free access to the space between the shelves.

  • Patent number: 4652243
Abstract: A display for demonstrating puncture sealant tires includes a housing for supporting a tire in an upright position having a base supporting an upstanding frame, a tire restraint on the frame for holding the tire in its upright position, and a pair of spaced apart rollers rotatably mounted on the base for permitting rotation of the tire with respect to the housing to any desired position. A spike member is mounted on a handle assembly which in turn is pivotally mounted on the housing frame for movement between a first non-puncturing position and a second tire puncturing position. A spring in the form of a flat resilient plastic member is mounted on the handle assembly and acts in opposition to the movement of the handle assembly to bias the handle assembly to its first non-puncturing position.

  • Patent number: 4034849
Abstract: A watch case for storing and displaying a watch and including a base, a cover pivotably supported by the base for rotation from a storage position to a display position, and a cuff slideably releasably supported inside the cover and for supporting a watch. The pivotable cover is supported by pivot pins such that it is pivotable from a closed position, wherein the watch is received inside the base and protected, to an open position wherein the watch is attractively displayed. The cover includes a slide on its inside surface to provide a means for slideably supporting the watch supporting cuff so that the cuff and watch can be easily inserted into the cover or removed therefrom. The cuff comprises an elongated strip of flexible material which can be bent to form an oblong loop for supporting the watch. • Patent number: 4011942
Abstract: A wristwatch display case for displaying a wristwatch having a flexible expandable band comprises a base and a removable transparent cover which are locked together when the case is mounted on a merchandising display rack and which are separable to permit removal of the watch when the case is removed from the merchandising display rack. The base comprises a sloped rear wall having an elongated slot for receiving the watch band. The side edges of the slot are provided with notches near the ends thereof. A flat flexible watch-supporting cuff formable into a loop and insertable within the watch band is employed to releasably support the watch on the rear wall of the base. Portions of the cuff are wider than the slot, but each portion is narrower than the combined width of the slot and a pair of opposed notches at one end of the slot. Each cuff portion has slits in its opposite side edges for releasable engagement with the side edges of the slot to thereby support the watch on the base.
