  • Patent number: 8286972
Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-vibration tool holder (1) with a tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and a tensioning arrangement (5) which provides axial tensioning of the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6) and which is simultaneously tensioned in a radially flexible way with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). This tool holder (1) is less susceptible to vibration than previously known tool holders, which ensures better true running even during operation and in particular when heat-induced expansion of materials occurs, since the clamping arrangement (5) which is integrated in the tool holder (1) is continuously centered with respect to the tool holder base body (2, 3, 4, 6). Furthermore, such a tool holder (1), in particular within a modular design, can be adapted very flexibly to different types of tools and workpiece machining processes.

  • Patent number: 7938408
Abstract: The invention proposes a tool holder (1), in particular of the shrink-fit chuck type, the receiving section (5) of which comprises clamping means (9) which are provided centrally with respect to an axis of rotation (7) of the tool holder (1) for holding a shank (15) of a rotary tool, and which define a receiving opening (13) for the shank (15). • Publication number: 20100200571
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for inductive heating of an electrically-conducting component section symmetrical relative to an axis, in particular, a sleeve section of a tool clamping chuck for clamping a tool by means of a press fit, wherein the device has several pole pieces made from a magnetically-conducting material arranged in the circumferential direction around the symmetry axis of the component section introduced as required into the device and an induction device for supplying the pole pieces with magnetic flux such that the magnetic flux in pole pieces which are adjacent in the circumferential direction is opposed. The pole pieces are all mounted on the device such as to be movable about an axis (adjustment rotation axis) running essentially parallel to the axis of symmetry of the component section, such that each of the pole pieces can be adjusted in the direction of the surface region of the individual workpiece by means of a rotation about the provided adjustment rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 7758289
Abstract: To compensate for tolerances and diameter differences during the chucking of a tool shank (15) in a tool holder (1) of the shrink-fit chuck type, a diameter-compensating bush (17) is provided. The diameter-compensating bush (17) has an outer sleeve (19) having a tapered inner circumferential surface (25) and an inner sleeve (21) arranged coaxially therein and having a tapered outer circumferential surface (27). Once the diameter-compensating bush (17) has been put onto the tool shank (15) and the inner sleeve (21) has been drawn into the outer sleeve (19), for example by means of a ring nut (35), for the diameter compensation, the outer sleeve (19) is thermally shrunk in place in the locating section (9) of the tool holder (1). In this way, rotary tools whose tool shank (15) does not have a diameter corresponding to the diameter or the tolerance requirements of the tool holder (1) can be chucked in a tool holder (1), for example, of the shrink-fit chuck type.
