Abstract: By providing a pair of handle forming members and independently mounting the handle forming members to a desired product in a manner which enables the handle forming members to independently pivot while still cooperating to form a single gripping handle, a unique handle assembly is attained which is capable of being stowed in nested engagement with the product as an integral, co-extensive portion thereof. In the preferred embodiment, each handle forming member has a pair of arm portions mounted to the product with the arm portions being interleaved with each other to provide a compact stowed position, while being easily pivoted from the stowed position to an extended, handle forming position.
