    Abstract: The invention relates to a device and a method for separating particles of different sizes in a liquid. The invention additionally relates to applications of the device according to the invention. The device according to the invention and the method according to the invention involve the capability of modifying the diameter of the pores of the at least one filter element of the device in a controlled manner (e.g., the pore diameter can be increased or decreased). The device and method have the advantage that particles of different sizes (e.g., biological cells and/or endosomes) of a liquid can be separated from one another with a high degree of separation efficiency, and the particles are separated in a simple, quick, and inexpensive manner. High yields can be produced, and the separated particles can be provided in a therapeutically applicable liquid (e.g., blood plasma).

Arrays of DVH curves provide the user with essential information on the ‘quality of a plan’. A DVH diagram is displayed as a main diagram, wherein only one of the solutions is visually represented at a time. By selecting a first starting point on a selected DVH curve as the main diagram, a first straight axis extending through the first starting point is placed. A first region, located around the first starting point and on the first straight axis, is highlighted as a first control region for controllable visualization of the plurality of currently non-displayed solutions stored in the database, the DVH curves of which correspond to the selected DVH curve and intersect the first straight axis.

    Abstract: A method for producing a pyrolysis oil is described. In said method, a feedstock to be treated is first pyrolyzed in a pyrolysis zone, in which the feedstock is heated to a temperature of 250 degrees Celsius to 700 degrees Celsius; and pyrolyzed solids and pyrolysis vapors are formed. The pyrolysis vapors are then reformed at a temperature of 450 degrees Celsius to 1,200 degrees Celsius in a post-conditioning zone, in which the pyrolysis vapors are brought into contact with a catalyst bed, wherein the pyrolysis oil is formed. In this case, the catalyst comprises a pyrolyzed solid, which can be obtained according to the pyrolysis, described above. Finally the pyrolysis oil is separated from the additional pyrolysis products, which are formed, in a separation unit.

    Abstract: A method and a device for producing a liquid containing liposomes is presented. The method comprises the conduction of a first liquid and a second liquid into a micromixer and to the output of the micromixer by gas pressure from at least one source of gas. The total flow rate of the liquids is adjusted in such a way that the total flow rate at the output of the micromixer is at least 10 mL/min. This allows the production of liquids, which contain liposomes having a narrow size distribution, on an industrial scale in a simple and reproducible manner.
