  • Patent number: 8186490
Abstract: The invention relates to an interface for controlling (for example damping) mechanical vibrations for the automotive industry. The inventive interface comprises a base connection element, a load connection element and at least one energy converting system extending between the base connection element and the load connection element. The different energy converters of the one energy converting systems have a common preferential direction and are exposed to a preload action produced by a pretensioning element. The inventive interface also comprises a pushing force deviating element mounted between the base connection element and the load connection element which is provided with a membrane or a leaf spring disposed preferably in a perpendicular direction with respect to the preferential direction of the energy converting system. The inventive pushing force deviating element protects the energy converting systems against mechanical damage caused by an external pushing action.

  • Patent number: 5705542
Abstract: The invention concerns the waste liquor from the chemical-thermal pulping of fibre boards and particle boards containing bonding agents. The waste liquor is produced through a procedure in which fibre boards and wood particle boards are first chopped into shreds and, in a subsequent step, pulped according to a chemical-thermal procedure which dissolves the wood structure. The liquid remaining after the separation of the cellulose is retained as waste liquor and used as extender for wood adhesives.

  • Patent number: 4685804
Abstract: A method is disclosed for measuring the rate and/or extent of movement of oscillatory element positioned on an oscillating system by passing a reference beam towards a reference detector over a reference edge. The reference edge is fixed relative to the element. The measurement beam is directed towards the measurement detector over a measurement edge of a surface adapted to move together with the element relative to the reference edge. The movement of the measurement edge cuts the measurement beam as it moves into the path of the measurement beam. The rate and/or extent of movement of the element relative to the reference edge is determined by comparing the illumination received by each of the detectors. Apparatus is also disclosed for measuring the rate and/or extent of movement of an oscillatory element positioned on an oscillating system including a measurement edge adapted to move together with the element. A reference edge is maintained stationary relative to the measurement edge.
