  • Patent number: 11457814
Abstract: An apparatus for determining a disease parameter describing a type of cardiac disease includes a unit for reading input parameters representing 3D myocardial velocity fields with voxel wise 3D velocity information. The velocity vectors represent velocity of a voxel of a region of the heart at a predefined time point or time interval; a velocity vector depicts a voxel wise 3D velocity of the myocardium with different magnitude. A processor applies an algorithm to obtain a rotation parameter and/or strain-rate-tensor representing local curl of the input parameters and local rate of strain at a certain spatial point, at a certain time point or time interval. A processor calculates the disease parameter on the basis of the rotation parameter and strain-rate-tensor, dividing an absolute value of the rotation parameter by an eigenvalue. The disease parameter reflects a proportion to overall deformation of local layer shearing with regard to local pure deformation.

  • Patent number: 8889982
Abstract: The invention relates to a concentrator arrangement for solar radiation which has a beam splitter for deflecting solar radiation by means of total reflection. Furthermore, the invention relates to a device for concentrating and converting solar energy which has such a concentrator and at least one device for the conversion of solar energy. Such devices for the conversion of solar energy are for example solar cells, solar modules or thermal solar collectors. The concentrators according to the invention are used for concentrating solar radiation just as in sun protection panels.

  • Patent number: 8633972
Abstract: A method for displaying image information on an autostereoscopic screen that is suitable for simultaneous display of a plurality of views visible respectively from at least one of a plurality of laterally offset viewing zones. A first stereoscopic half-image and a second stereoscopic half-image, which are perceptible simultaneously and together produce a stereoimage, are reproduced on the screen such that the first stereoscopic half-image is visible from two laterally offset and respectively continuous regions, while the second stereoscopic half-image is visible from a stereozone which is situated between the two mentioned regions and is smaller than each of these two regions.

  • Patent number: 4840636
Abstract: A stream of gas is forced through the pores of an object and either the gas itself or a component thereof is electrically activated through partial brush discharge such that reaction products will modify the surface of the pore walls as the gas flows through. The method avoids vacuum deposition methods as well as wet-coating methods and is applicable for either hydrophobizing or hydrophilizing objects and for improving, for example, biochemical activities or compatability of the object with a liquid to be filtered later.
