Abstract: A mobile screening apparatus has a patient compartment having a floor, and end wall, a first sidewall and a second sidewall. The second sidewall has an expanding wall that is movable between a retracted position and an extended position. The mobile screening apparatus also has a scanner positioned in the patient compartment. The scanner has a length dimension extending longitudinally within the patient compartment. A scanning table is positioned within the patient compartment. The scanning table is movable in relation to the scanner. The patient compartment is positioned upon a chassis of a vehicle. A generator is connected to the scanner so as to supply power to the scanner. In particular, the scanner is a lung scanner.

Abstract: A safety system includes a vehicle having a cab and a compartment rearward of the cab, an engine that provides motive power to the vehicle, a generator positioned in the vehicle so as to supply electrical energy to the compartment, an alarm positioned in or on the vehicle so as to be cooperative with the engine and the generator, an alarm acknowledge switch positioned in or on the vehicle, a shore power connection on the vehicle, and a control module positioned in or on the vehicle so as to selectively activate or deactivate the alarm or to deactivate the generator when certain conditions occur. The generator has an on/off switch so as to turn the generator either on or off. The alarm is activated when the generator is turned on and the engine is not running. The alarm acknowledge switch is activatable as to turn the alarm off. The shore power connection is adapted to be connected to a source of electrical energy exterior of the vehicle.

Abstract: An emergency vehicle has a patient compartment and a motor, a generator cooperative with the patient compartment, and a Computerized Tomography (CT) scanner positioned in the patient compartment and connected to the generator so as to supply power to the CT scanner. The CT scanner is releasably affixed to the front wall of the patient compartment. The generator is operable independently of the motor. The front wall of the patient compartment has a receptacle affixed thereto. The CT scanner has at least one pin connector extending toward the front wall. The pin connector is releasably received by the receptacle so as to fix a position of the CT scanner against the front wall.
