Patent number: 8548417Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product example embodiments of the invention are disclosed to provide multi-network secure video teleconferencing (VTC) for VTC endpoints. The embodiments of the invention include a sequencer that controls the sequence of operations when moving a video teleconferencing terminal between secure networks. The sequencer receives commands to initiate the operation from an initiator, such as a user-initiated button press from a control console or a user-initiated request from an Internet interface, or for a scheduled operation from a scheduling interface. The sequencer then issues commands to a secure database of terminal configuration data and a control isolator to both transfer a video teleconferencing terminal to a new secure network to begin a conference and to remove a video teleconferencing terminal from a secure network to end a conference.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2012Date of Patent: October 1, 2013Assignee: Freeport Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Richard W. Tucker, Dean A. Woughter, David M. Tucker, Donald S. Patz, Sergio J. Delhoyo

Patent number: 8200792Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product example embodiments of the invention are disclosed to provide multi-network secure video teleconferencing (VTC) for VTC endpoints. The embodiments of the invention provide distributed components to perform the necessary operations, rather than co-locating the components in the VTC endpoint. Some system components are located with the VTC endpoint, other components are placed in a network operations center (NOC) and still other components are distributed on the various networks.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2009Date of Patent: June 12, 2012Assignee: Freeport Technologies, IncorporatedInventors: Richard Warren Tucker, Dean Andrew Woughter, Donald Scott Patz, David Matthew Tucker

Patent number: 8149262Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product are disclosed to manage multiple operating modes in a video conferencing network under which different sets of policies can operate. The system is a network management server, also referred to herein as the ELASTIC GATEKEEPERâ„¢, that includes a Conference Management System, which selectively implements one or more different sets of operating policies. The Conference Management System is integrated and linked with a gatekeeper, which is responsible for setting up calls that are using end point alias addresses. The gatekeeper works with the Conference Management System to control access to network resources. Upon receiving a request to access a call, the gatekeeper passes the request to the Conference Management System for its approval.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2008Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: Freeport TechnologiesInventors: Richard W. Patent number: 8149263Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product example embodiments of the invention are disclosed to manage multiple network zones interconnected over a wide area network for video conferencing. In one example embodiment of the invention, an interface of a zone controller is configured to receive a first user request to schedule local resources for a video conferencing session within a local network zone. The zone controller is configured to access local services in the zone to schedule the local resources for the video conferencing session. The interface of the zone controller is further configured to receive a second user request to schedule remote resources in a remote network zone for the video conferencing session. A local Network Zone Manager in the zone controller is configured to determine a remote Network Zone Manager responsible for the remote resources in the remote network zone in response to the second user request.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 2009Date of Patent: April 3, 2012Assignee: Freeport TechnologiesInventor: Sergio Jason DelHoyo

Patent number: 8134588Abstract: Method, system, and computer program product example embodiments of the invention are disclosed to provide a secure room control isolator for a multi-network secure video teleconferencing room that meets the DISA and other standard security requirements. An example embodiment of the invention is a secure room control isolator coupled between a video teleconferencing room controller and a codec, to enable control commands to be sent from the room controller to the codec, but which permits only status information to be returned from the codec to the room controller. In this manner, classified information in the codec cannot be accessed by the room controller.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 2009Date of Patent: March 13, 2012Assignee: Freeport Technologies, IncorporatedInventor: Richard Warren Tucker
