  • Patent number: 9190351
Abstract: A quad flat package integrated circuit (IC) device has alternating inner and outer leads that protrude from a package body. The inner leads are j-shaped leads and the outer leads are gull-wing shaped leads. The package body is formed such that it includes plastic lead webbings between adjacent leads, which help prevent metal particles from getting lodged between the leads and causing electrical shorts. The webbings are made of the same molding compound as the package body and are formed together with the package body.

  • Publication number: 20140264360
Abstract: Transistors and methods of fabricating are described herein. These transistors include a field plate (108) and a charged dielectric layer (106) overlapping at least a portion of a gate electrode (102). The field plate (108) and charged dielectric layer (106) provide the ability to modulate the electric field or capacitance in the transistor. For example, the charged dielectric layer (106) provides the ability to control the capacitance between the gate electrode (102) and field plate (108). Modulating such capacitances or the electric field in transistors can facilitate improved performance. For example, controlling gate electrode (102) to field plate (108) capacitance can be used to improve device linearity and/or breakdown voltage. Such control over gate electrode (102) to field plate (108) capacitance or electric fields provides for high speed and/or high voltage transistor operation.

  • Publication number: 20060220758
Abstract: A VCO circuit including a VCO, a voltage supply and a control circuit. The VCO has a supply voltage input and a gain that changes with its supply voltage. The voltage supply has an adjust input and an output coupled to the supply voltage input of the VCO. The voltage supply adjusts the voltage level of its output in response to changes of the adjust input. The control circuit has a first adjust output coupled to the adjust input of the voltage supply to adjust the gain of the VCO. The VCO may include a frequency range adjust input controlled by the control circuit so that the gain of the VCO is adjusted when the frequency range is changed. For a multi-band VCO, the gain is adjusted for different frequency bands to maintain a relatively constant gain for each frequency band.
