  • Patent number: 11801349
Abstract: Devices and methods for use with syringes are disclosed. A plunger rod includes an outer housing having proximal and distal ends and a lumen between the ends, as well as an inner body axially slidable within the lumen between a first and second position. The inner body has a retention member extending therefrom. When the inner body is in the first position, the plunger rod has a first length, and, when the inner body is in the second position, the plunger rod has a second length greater than the first length. When the inner body is in the second position, the inner body is configured to be rotated relative to the outer housing until the retention member is received within the outer housing to preclude the inner body from moving in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 11571520
Abstract: A prefilled syringe includes a syringe body filled with a medical fluid, which has a nozzle at a front side, the nozzle being closed with a cap, and which is closed at a rear side with a displaceable plunger; and a plunger rod that can be inserted into the syringe body via the rear side. The plunger rod has a connecting portion at a front side, via whi9ch the plunger rod can be connected to the plunger. At least three annular elements, which extend at least in some sections about a longitudinal axis of the rod, are arranged on a rear side of the connecting portion on the plunger rod in such a manner that they are located in the syringe body when the plunger rod is fully connected to the plunger. The three annular elements support a coaxial connection of the rod to the plunger positioned in the syringe.

  • Patent number: 11565890
Abstract: An installation for sorting containers, in particular medicine bottles, including a star wheel having a multiplicity of pockets. The pockets each accommodate a container, and therefore the container can be transported by virtue of the star wheel being rotated. The installation includes a first and a second exit, wherein the containers can be fed either to the first exit or to the second exit by retracting and extending of a first diverter and a second diverter, which are located opposite one another on a transporting path. The first and the second diverters are designed to be capable of extending and retracting with respect to a base region of the transporting path.

  • Patent number: 8808458
Abstract: The present invention concerns a process that can be realised continuously for the preparation of anhydrous crystalline lactulose from commercial aqueous syrups that contain it, characterised in that the crystallisation and consequent separation of the high-purity lactulose with high yields from the syrup is triggered by mixing the ore pulp (or recycled ore pulp), obtained from a previous lactulose crystallisation phase, with the syrup itself.

  • Patent number: 6676956
Abstract: The invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion comprising, as an active ingredient, &agr;-tocopherol or the stereoisomers thereof and comprising, as an emulsifier, phospholipids. The inventive emulsion is used in order to attain a protective action against damages to human organs resulting from peroxidation. The emulsion contains a &agr;-tocopherol content, with regard to action, of 1.48 g/l to 30 g/l RRR-g(a)-tocopherol, 0-25 g/l of an oil which is compatible with I.V. administration, and 0.25 g/l to 3 g/l of a phospholipid. The emulsion is preferably administered as an infusion and is especially used to reduce damages resulting from peroxidation due to ischemia and /or reperfusion and, among other things, during an organ transplantation.
