Abstract: The invention relates to a circuit for a system for contactless, inductive power transmission, in particular for use in supplying power to mobile devices, and to an associated charging circuit. The circuit comprises a primary-side circuit, which is disposed on a primary side and can be connected to a primary-side supply voltage, and a secondary-side circuit, which is disposed on a secondary side and can be connected to a load to be supplied with power. Furthermore a transformer stage having galvanic isolation is provided for the contactless transfer of power from the primary side over an air gap to the secondary side, wherein at least two magnetically coupled coils are provided for inductive power transmission and can be spatially separated from one another by distancing the secondary side from the primary side. The transformer stage has a resonant converter and the secondary-side circuit further comprises a restabilisation stage.

  • Patent number: 8098795
Abstract: An X-ray detector for recording an image of an object that is moving relative to the detector includes a plurality of detector modules which are adjacently disposed so that they partially overlap. Using the detector modules, a TDI (Time Delayed Integration) is performed within each detector module. Subsequently an evaluation unit determines corrected measurement values of an overlap region by adding the measured values from the individual detector modules in the overlap region.

  • Publication number: 20110143394
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of biochemistry, molecular biology and microbiology. More specific the invention relates to methods and means for metabolic engineering and improved product formation by a filamentous micro-organism or a low G+C gram-positive bacterium. The invention discloses that DasR and DasR binding sites play an important and universal role in the control of gene expression in micro-organisms Based on this finding, the invention provides multiple useful applications, such as a method for regulating the expression of a gene of interest, a method for controlling metabolism, a method for decreasing undesired expression and many more. Moreover, the invention also provides means that can be used to establish said methods: for example a micro-organism in which the DasR binding site in operable linkage with a particular gene has been modified to obtain increased or decreased expression of a protein (being a desired or undesired protein) encoded by said gene.

  • Patent number: 7642780
Abstract: A magnetic resonance system has a basic magnet that generates a static basic magnetic field in an examination volume, and a whole-body antenna that emits a homogeneous radio-frequency field in the examination volume, the homogeneous radio-frequency field exhibiting an excitation frequency so that nuclei in an examination subject in the examination volume are excited to emit magnetic resonance signals, and a radio-frequency shield. The radio-frequency shield is arranged between the whole-body antenna and the basic magnet. The whole-body antenna is arranged between the radio-frequency shield and the examination volume. The radio-frequency shield is fashioned to exhibit a high shielding effect in a shielding frequency range that encompasses the excitation frequency. The shielding effect drops to a significantly lower shielding effect on both sides at side bands adjoining the shielding frequency range.
