  • Patent number: 4610272
Abstract: An actuating device for a mixing valve having a valve housing and a movable valve member includes a hand lever which is partly accommodated within a housing and operatively connected to the valve member. The hand lever is movable about two axes perpendicular to each other and is provided with an arc which projects through a slot into the interior of the housing. In order to minimize the size of the slot and to obtain an attractive visual appearance, the arc is provided with an inner contour aligned with the respective housing portion and having a radius extending from a fixed point of one of the axes.

  • Patent number: 4606370
Abstract: An operating mechanism for a fluid flow shifting valve of a sanitary mixing faucet assembly or the like of, for example, a bathtub and shower, which raises or lowers a flow shifting valve stem guided in the mixing faucet body so as to shift the fluid flow between two outlets, comprises an operating lever pivotally connected to the valve stem and also attached pivotally to a preferably rodlike, centrally located pivot bearing, wherein the lever arm of the operating lever is proportioned so that a reduced applied force is sufficient to effect a shift in fluid flow. Advantageously the operating lever may be provided with a press contact or a lever cap attached to its top for ease of operation. The operating mechanism is essentially integrated in the mixing faucet body so that it does not protrude significantly.

  • Patent number: 4558817
Abstract: In a pressure compensated mixing valve, the hot and cold water lines each include electrically actuated valves. Each valve has a movable valve rod coupled to a valve cone via a deformable member. The deformable members are acted upon such that as water pressure increases or decreases, the deformable member moves the valve cone to a more closed or opened position.

  • Patent number: 4540023
Abstract: A mixing valve of the type utilizing a fixed valve seat disk and a movable control disk is described. The axis of rotation of the control disk in the valve housing is offset in relation to the center of the valve seat disk towards the inlet passages. With this arrangement the pivot angle for setting the mixture ratio is increased.

  • Patent number: 4501408
Abstract: A volume control valve in accordance with the invention is formed in a valve body which is adapted for insertion into a valve fitting. The valve body includes a valve seat insert and a valve disk. A sealing element is disposed between the valve seat insert and the valve fitting. The sealing element is carried on a supporting piece such that a first face of the sealing element is disposed on one side of the supporting piece and a second face is disposed on the other side of the supporting piece. The supporting piece is held against shoulders in the body such that the valve seat insert is prestressed by a predetermined amount by the first face. The second face is deformable against the fitting to accomodate different fitting depths.

  • Patent number: 4417933
Abstract: Valve, in particular for the sanitary engineering field, with two flat and smoothened plates, one on top of the other, held in a housing and movable towards each other as a valve element whereby the plates have one or more through-apertures for one or more media. To simplify installation and reduce costs, the two plates are combined into one pack with appropriate sealing and sliding elements, the pack being bedded in a housing formed from two semi-monocoques having apertures for a valve actuating element and the inlet and outlet lines capable of insertion into an inlet and outlet flow device with pre-tensioning, whereby the contact surfaces of the two semi-monocoques are matched to the individual thickness of the pack by material deformation and are inseparably connected the one with the other.

  • Patent number: 4359186
Abstract: A mixing valve arrangement for producing temperature controlled water wherein an electromagnetically actuatable supply valve is coupled in each of the hot and cold water supply lines is described. Electronic control loop circuits generate a temperature control signal from both a temperature preselector and a temperature detector and a volume control signal from both a volume preselector and a mixed water flow volume detector. An electronic decoupling circuit is interposed between the two control loop circuits and the valve actuating circuits to derive control signals representative of the degree of opening of the two supply valves from the temperature and volume control signals.
