Abstract: A golf bag (and/or other types of bags, carriers, storage containers, and the like) can be outfitted with a shoulder strap configured for relatively easy grasping when the bag is set down in a substantially prone position, e.g., such that a user would not need to bend down significantly to pick up the bag. Moreover, the shoulder strap may be moveable—e.g., pivoting about a hinge—when the bag is being carried, for comfort and convenience. To this end, the bag may include a locking hinge that establishes a selectively pivotable engagement between the shoulder strap and the bag. Specifically, in a prone position, the hinge may releasably lock the shoulder strap in an upright position for easy grasping, and when lifted, the hinge may allow pivoting for relatively easy carrying. The hinge may also or instead include features that promote collapsing of the shoulder strap for storage.

Abstract: A golf club head cover for releasable connection to a shaft and head of a golf club includes a cover body for detachably covering the club head, the cover body having a head portion with a top surface that has a flexible longitudinal portion formed therein adapted to separate the head portion into two half-head portions adapted to articulate about the flexible portion. A front facing surface of the head portion includes a slit separating it into two wings. A shank portion of the cover body extends downwardly to enclose a portion of the shaft of the golf club. The cover body further includes a fastening means composed of a first part secured within each half-head portion for selectively affixing the cover body in an open position, and a second part secured within each wing for selectively affixing the cover body in a closed position about the golf club head.

Abstract: A golf accessory for retaining a marker therein, the accessory having a body, the upper end thereof including a semi-circular recess dimensioned to receive a removable metallic ball marker fixedly retainable within the recess. The accessory includes a pair of spaced prongs contiguous with and extending downward from the lower end of the body to prong tips, a first plurality of magnets embedded in the body adjacent the semi-circular recess, and a second plurality of magnets embedded in the spaced prongs.

Abstract: A golf club training implement is described which includes a tapered sleeve having a first end, a tapered second end, and a longitudinal slit opening therein so that the implement fits over a shaft of a club for slidable placement on or along a golf club grip. A substantially circular guard is attached to and abuts the sleeve first end. The guard is oriented at an angle relative to the sleeve first end so that the sleeve has a longer first side and an opposite shorter second side between the sleeve first and second ends.

Abstract: A system and device for golf putting practice, in which the device includes a first leg, a slider element attached to the first leg for grasping a shaft, and a shorter second leg pivotable to the first leg. The second leg is released and squeezed against the first to expose an opening in the slider element to receive the shaft therein, the second leg then released to pivot outward, causing the slider element to move down relative to the upper end of the first leg, closing down on the opening and seating the shaft. A second support device is installed in spaced relation on the shaft to achieve the level horizontal position of the shaft as a guide for a golfer practicing putting strokes with a golf putter.

Abstract: A device for cleaning golf equipment such as golf clubs and golf shoe includes a handle, a brush head surface formed in an underside of the handle at a proximal end thereof, and a plurality of metal and plastic bristles extending downward from the brush head surface. The bristles are configured so that the plastic bristles are arranged around an outer circumference of the brush head surface to encircle the metal bristles extending from a central portion of the brush head surface.
