  • Patent number: 5483156
Abstract: A magnetic field alternation detecting apparatus includes a magnetic member sensor enclosed in a case and having a core (i.e., a yoke) to which a magnet is attached and around which a coil is wound. The magnetic member sensor obtains as an electromotive voltage a change in magnetic flux linking the coil on the basis of a magnetic field distribution disturbed by an approaching magnetic member present near the case from a pair of output terminals of the coil. An analog-to-digital converter is connected to the output terminals of the coil using at least one control terminal of a transistor such as a bipolar transistor or an enhancement operation field effect transistor. A main current terminal of the transistor is connected to a pair of output terminals.

  • Patent number: 5361597
Abstract: A thermostatic expansion valve includes a valve housing having upper and lower passages. In the lower passage a valve member urged by a spring toward a valve seat of a valve port formed therein is provided. At the top of the housing a driving unit for driving the valve member to open and close the port is attached. The unit has a housing partitioned by a diaphragm into upper and lower pressure operating chambers. A diaphragm driving fluid is filled in the upper chamber, and the lower chamber is connected to a refrigerant circulating pipe between an evaporator pressure regulator and a compressor while the upper passage to the pipe between an evaporator and the regulator and the lower passage to the pipe between the evaporator and an condenser. In the housing a valve member driving rod extends from the diaphragm to the port and crosses the upper passage. The top end of the rod is hermetically fixed to the diaphragm and the lower end abuts the valve member against the spring.

  • Patent number: 5308939
Abstract: An inner space of an outer case is partitioned by a gas permiable diaphragm into a fluid pressure operating chamber and a reference pressure operating chamber. The former chamber communicates with a pressurized fluid inlet hole formed in the case, and the latter communicates with a pressure equalizing hole formed in the case. Electrical contacts are stored in the latter chamber to perform on/off-operation in response to deflection of the diaphragm caused by pressure change of pressurized fluid in the former chamber. Outer connection terminals for the contacts are supported by the outer case. A filter is provided in the equalizing hole.

  • Patent number: 4959973
Abstract: A thermostatic expansion valve located at the inlet of an evaporator in the refrigeration apparatus has a valve housing supporting a diaphragm in its sealed space. Pressure from a thermal bulb is applied on the upper surface of the diaphragm, and pressure of a reduced-pressure refrigerant in the inlet of the evaporator is applied on the lower surface of the diaphragm through on equalizing signal passage extending from a refrigerant passage formed in the housing to the sealed space in the housing. In the refrigerant passage, a valve seat is formed. The equalizing signal passage is opened at the passage in the downstream side of the valve seat. A sectional area of the refrigerant passage between the passage side opening of the signal passage and the valve seat is larger than that of the refrigerant passing hole of the valve seat but smaller than that of the refrigerant passage at a position remoter from the valve seat than the passage side opening of the signal passage.

  • Patent number: 4853504
Abstract: A triple action pressure switch apparatus includes a housing having a pressurized fluid introducing path, the inner space of which is partitioned into a pressure actuating chamber communicated with the path and a switch mechanism storage chamber by a diaphragm. In the latter chamber, a third snap disc assembly, a first piston, a second snap disc assembly, a second piston, a first snap disc assembly, and first and second switches are arranged from the diaphragm in this order in a longitudinal direction of the housing. When the pressure of the pressurized fluid reaches a lower limit of a certain range of value, the first disc is transformed to set the first switch in one of ON and OFF states. When the pressure of the pressurized fluid reaches an upper limit of the range, the second disc is transformed to move a first tubular rod slidably inserted in the second piston and the first disc. Such movement of the first rod set the first switch in the other of ON and OFF states.

  • Patent number: 4827094
Abstract: A dual-action pressure switch apparatus has a piston member disposed in a switch mechanism containing chamber sealingly pertitioned by a diaphragm in the inner space of a housing, and being movable in the axial direction of chamber. A high-pressure snap disk is placed on the side surface of piston and contacts the diaphragm. In the chamber, a low-pressure snap disk is so arranged that its outer rim engages with the inner periphery of chamber and sandwich the piston between its center and the diaghragm. When the pressure of a pressurized fluid introduced in the inner space is lower than the lower limit of a certain range of values, both low and high snap disks are stable, so that paired resilient switch pieces disposed adjacent to the low snap disk in the chamber separate from each other. When the pressure is set in the certain range, only the low snap disk is transformed to push one switch piece to make it contact the other.
