  • Patent number: 7337817
Abstract: At least one belt layer in which one or plural rubber-coated belt cords are arranged to be spirally wound almost in parallel with a tire circumferential direction on the outer circumference of a body ply. The belt cord is small in the increase rate of tensile load to stretch rate in the range of a predetermined stretch rate or less, but becomes large in the increase rate of the tensile load in another range exceeding the predetermined stretch rate. Therefore, during a vulcanizing and forming process, the belt cord is expanded together with unvulcanized compounded rubber under a small tensile load, and it does not occur to prevent body ply cords from being expanded, so that a green tire is vulcanized and formed with respective parts thereof being adhered as a result of being expanded to keep a correct shape.

Abstract: A bladder is made to be expandable and contractible at a vulcanization position within a lower mold assembly and to be expandable and contractible also at a tire delivery position which is spaced a predetermined distance from the vulcanization position along a center axis of the lower mold assembly. With a centering shaft passing through an upper mold, the bladder and the lower mold assembly, a green tire loaded into the tire delivery position is held by the bladder by expanding the bladder and is loaded by the bladder into the lower mold assembly. After a vulcanization processing, the bladder removes the vulcanized tire from the vulcanization position to the delivery position, and after the centering shaft is drawn out from the lower mold assembly and the bladder, the bladder is contracted at the delivery position to make it possible to release the vulcanized tire from the bladder.

Abstract: At least one belt layer in which one or plural rubber-coated belt codes are arranged to be spirally wound almost in parallel with a tire circumferential direction on the outer circumference of a body ply. • Patent number: 6969439
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a belt material for tire, comprising the steps of spirally winding a ribbon, having a plurality of linear cords disposed longitudinally and coated with rubber, on the outer peripheral surface of a drum at specified pitches while the drum is rotated, sticking the side edges of the wound ribbon to each other so as to form a cylindrical wound body, and a linearly moving rotating blade in the axial direction of the drum in contact with a spiral blade groove formed in the drum at specified pitches while the drum is rotated so as to cut the wound body spirally so as to form a belt material having a specified width and a cord inclination angle.

  • Patent number: 6969440
Abstract: A cylindrical body ply is mounted around a cylindrical bladder, and annular beads are set on both axial end portions of the body ply. In this state, while the spacing between both axial ends of the body ply is narrowed, an axial intermediate portion of the body ply is increased in diameter by the bladder. Subsequently, bending members formed of rigid bodies are radially moved from the inside to the outside of the body ply to bend both axial end portions of the body ply by the bending members. The bent portions of the body ply wrap around corresponding beads. With the use of the body ply manufactured in this way in a tire, the resulting tire can be reduced in the manufacturing cost and weight.

  • Patent number: 6913058
Abstract: The peripheral length (M) dimension of the outer peripheral surface of drums (35, 36) is set equal to the width (W) dimension of body ply materials (46A, 46B) used for tires or integral multiples thereof. The wrapping length (L) of the wrapper (40) in the direction of the length of the drum is set equal to the length dimension (L1) of the body ply materials (46A, 46B) used for tires. A ribbon (39) of predetermined width dimension in the form of a cord having a rubber covering applied thereto is produced. The ribbon (39) is spirally wound on the outer peripheral surface of the drums (35, 36) and the lateral edges of the ribbon are bonded together, thus producing the wrapper (40). The wrapper (40) is cut along a gentle curve which is substantially orthogonal to the direction of the length of the ribbon, thus providing the body ply materials (46A, 46B).

  • Patent number: 6465038
Abstract: A tray set composed of a first tray and a second tray, wherein the first tray having a plurality of depressed portions in which sushi toppings can be placed and which each has a shape having a depth so as to fill it with the sushi topping and a portion of a lump of rice seasoned with vinegar. The first tray is provided with a plurality of holes on the bottom so as for liquid dropped or oozed out from the toppings to be discharged therethrough. The second tray is arranged such that it can be laid under the first tray and the liquid discharged from the first tray can be received by a depressed face, and a plurality of projections are formed continually and integrally with the depressed face and the plurality of the projections are disposed so as to be engageable with the holes of the first tray and to project through the holes inside the first tray, when the second tray is laid under the first tray. The projections assist in separating the sushi from the tray.

  • Patent number: 6457339
Abstract: A rocking press machine includes a swinging metal die 2 and a rocking shaft 1 mounted above the metal die 1 and transmitting a swinging motion to the metal die 2, with the angle of eccentricity of the central axis thereof and the angular velocity of the orbiting motion thereof being adjustable. A friction disk 3 is provided between the metal die 2 and rocking shaft 1, a gyro 4 encloses the metal die 2 or a frame 20 surrounding the metal die 2 and supports 5 provided outside the gyro 4, first projections 61 and first recesses 71 rotatably supporting the first projections formed on the metal die 2 or the surrounding frame 20 and in the gyro 4, second projections 62 and second recesses 72 rotatably supporting the second projections formed on the gyro 4 and the supports 5. The rocking press machine permits the metal die 2 to swing with freedom of angular motion in a two dimensional space, prevents the metal die 2 from rotating on its own central axis, and, thereby, permits obtaining accurate patterns.
