  • Patent number: 5669930
Abstract: A stent for intracorporeal retention is inserted in a human body, for instance, inside an airway, esophagus, or bile duct, and used for preventing a bore of the internal organs described above from being occluded. With this stent, discharge from the airway does not easily adhere to, nor deposit on, the internal surface of the cylindrical body, so that the occlusion thereof can effectively be prevented and, at the same time, granulation does not easily occur and, for this reason, occlusion of the airway can be prevented, which insures a high degree of safety for a human body.
