  • Patent number: 6874723
Abstract: A winding apparatus, such as a slitter rewinder, designed to shorten a distance between an unwinding shaft and a winding shaft, thereby downsizing the apparatus and attaining a significant cost reduction. To that end, in unwinding a web from the unwinding shaft, either to wind it onto the winding shaft or to slit it in the elongate direction into plural narrow-width webs and separate them alternately vertically or longitudinally, followed by winding onto respective winding shafts, the unwinding shaft is driven at a preset web speed, the winding shaft is driven at a preset web tension, guide rollers for guiding the web are disposed between the unwinding and winding shafts to thereby leave the guide rollers to rotate freely by contact with the web without their direct driving.

  • Patent number: 6676065
Abstract: To shape paperboard sheets into cylindrical winding cores in a winder instead of using ready-made hollow core tubes thereby doing away with the necessity of waste disposal of used winding cores or facilitating the discarding disposal by restoring them to the original flat shape. In the winding of a web using a multi-spindle turret type of winder, the spindle positions of the turret are allotted to a winding core shaping station, a web winding-up station and a wind-roll removal station. At the winding core shaping station, each sheet of paperboard is rolled and lapped around a winding core shaft and butt joining parts are attached with a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape to shape each winding core, shaped winding cores are transferred to the web winding-up station by the turning movement of the turret to conduct the winding, each full wind-up roll is transferred with further turning movement to the removal station and removed from the winder.

  • Patent number: 5103642
Abstract: Two rotary shafts to transfer a motive power are relatively rotatably coupled. One of the shafts is coupled to a rotor and the other is coupled to a cam. A plurality of plungers which execute a stroke motion in the axial direction by the relative rotation with the cam are provided for the rotor. The oil injection and discharge into/from the plunger enclosing chamber are executed by a rotary valve. The rotary valve automatically switches a phase relation so as to obtain correct opening/closing timings even if the direction of the relative rotation changed. The rotary valve rotates integratedly with the cam side and opens or closes intake/discharge holes of the plungers for a plurality of intake ports and discharge ports which are alternately formed on the cam surface. The discharge ports on the front surface of the rotary valve are mutually coupled by communicating grooves formed on the back surface. An orifice is formed between the communicating groove and the intake port.

  • Patent number: 5037353
Abstract: Two rotary shafts for transmitting power are coupled so as to be relatively rotatable. When a rotational speed difference occurs between the two shafts, a torque corresponding to the rotational speed difference is hydraulically generated and is transmitted from the shaft of the higher rotational speed to the shaft of the lower rotational speed. A cam surface having two or more cam mountains is formed on the inside edge surface of the cam housing. A rotor is assembled in the cam housing so as to be relatively rotatable. The rotor faces the cam surface and is formed with a plurality of plunger chambers in the axial direction. Plungers are movably assembled in the plunger chamber through return springs. The plunger chambers are connected to the high pressure chamber through delivery passages having delivery valves.

  • Patent number: 4984663
Abstract: A rotational force which was input from a transmission is received by a main shaft and transferred to the rear wheel side. The rotational force of the main shaft is transferred to the front wheel side through a hydraulic clutch. The hydraulic clutch receives the supply of an operating hydraulic pressure from an oil pump which is driven by a DC motor. Further, an operating hydraulic pressure is supplied in parallel to the hydraulic clutch from a second oil pump which is driven by the main shaft. The DC motor is driven only in the low-speed mode, stop mode, and reverse mode. On the other hand, after the motor was turned on at a rotational speed of a predetermined rotational speed or less, if the speed does not reach a second rotational speed higher than the predetermined rotational speed, the motor is not turned off.

  • Patent number: 4787229
Abstract: A method of rolling with flat cutters having finishing blades for rolling a periphery of a pipe. In working, the pipe is rotatably supported at both ends by a pair of centers, a pair of flat cutters which have a plurality of corrugated finishing blades formed on a substantially triangular blade base are disposed such that the finishing blades face each other and the directions of the finishing blades are parallel to an axis of the pipe, and the flat cutters are moved rectilinearly in opposite directions to each other from an initial working position to a terminal working position such that one end of each finishing blade presses the pipe. Thus, the periphery of the pipe is progressively worked axially from one end of the pipe.

  • Patent number: 4745825
Abstract: A transfer gear has high speed and low speed modes with two wheel drive or four wheel drive. A main drive shaft has a main drive gear rotatably mounted on it. A main shaft is coaxial with the main drive shaft and carries a speed change gear rotatably on it and drives the rear wheels. The main shaft further rotatably supports a front drive gear which transfers power to the front wheels. A counter gear assembly provides a speed reduction between the main drive gear and the speed change gear. A first switching mechanism connects the main drive shaft to either the main shaft or the main drive gear. A second switching mechanism connects the main shaft either to the speed change gear or to the front drive gear, or disconnects both the speed change gear and the front drive gear from the main shaft, or connects both the speed change gear and the front drive gear to the main shaft.
