Abstract: An image processing apparatus includes a background image generation section and a combining section. The background image generation section generates a background image, which represents (i) background information containing copy prohibition information indicating copy is prohibited and (ii) copy prohibition release information indicating a condition to release copy prohibition, by predetermined patterns. The combining section combines a target image to be formed and the background image generated by the background image generation section to generate a composite image and that outputs the composite image to a formation section that forms an image on a recording medium. When generating the background image, the background image generation section arranges the pattern of the copy prohibition release information in an end region of the recording medium.
Abstract: A carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image comprising a core material coated with a resin layer, wherein the F/N ratio of the surface of the resin layer ranges from 1 to 20. It is desirable that the resin layer include resin particles containing a nitrogen atom, that the average particle diameter of the nitrogen-atom-containing resin be in a range from 0.1 to 2 .mu.m, that the thickness of the resin layer be in a range from 0.1 to 10 .mu.m, that the resin layer include an electroconductive material which is in a condition to be dispersed in the resin layer, that the electroconductive material be made of carbon black, and that the average particle diameter of the carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image be in a range from 30 to 150 .mu.m. The carrier for developing an electrostatic latent image, which is long-lived, provided with a charging capability unchanged over time, and is capable of effectively preventing fogging are provided.
Abstract: A document processing system in which, when it is desired to lay out a document structure embedded in a content portion to be laid out, a content layout unit calls a document structure layout unit to embed in the content portion the document structure laid out by the called document structure layout unit, whereby layout processing of embedding a medium into another already embedded medium can be realized (for example, embedding a mathematical formula into a text in a graphic frame). Further, such data (layout of a boxed item) that is difficult to express in terms of content portion can be expressed in terms of document structures appearing in the middle of the processing.
Abstract: A heat sensitive recording apparatus using an ink donor sheet in the form of a continuous band includes a device for detecting and correcting the tension applied to the band so as to prevent creases, etc. from being formed therein.
