Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes: a transmission unit that transmits remaining amount information indicating a detected remaining amount of a consumable; a reception unit that receives a scheduled date of delivery of the consumable notified based on the transmitted remaining amount information; and a request unit that, when the remaining amount of the consumable is detected again upon reception of the scheduled delivery date and when a first value corresponding to the remaining amount detected again differs from a second value predicted, in correspondence with the first value, from information on a history of consuming the consumable, makes a request to change the scheduled delivery date in such a way that the second value approaches or matches the first value.
Abstract: A fixing device includes: a pair of pressure members that nip and apply pressure to a recording material having an unfixed image thereon; multiple pressure mechanisms that transmit a force to at least one of the pair of pressure members to generate the pressure; and multiple elastic members that apply elastic forces to a common portion in each pressure mechanism to generate the pressure.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a migration part and a change part. The migration part migrates content data of one or more files at a migration source to a migration destination in a predetermined sequence after migrating identification information to identify the one or more files at the migration source. The change part changes the predetermined sequence so as to prioritize an object in migration if the object satisfies a predetermined condition and has been subjected to an operation to use a folder, a file, or another file relating to the file. The operation is performed at the migration destination while the content data is being migrated by the migration part.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a first obtaining unit that obtains update data for a common control program capable of controlling plural apparatuses whose models are different from one another and a model information file including maintenance information indicating a current maintenance state of each of the plural apparatuses, a second obtaining unit that, when updating the common control program using the update data obtained by the first obtaining unit, obtains information regarding a model name from a connected apparatus to be controlled, and a display control unit that, if the maintenance information regarding the connected apparatus from which the second obtaining unit has obtained the information regarding the model name indicates that a maintenance period has expired, displays a selection screen for asking a user whether to delete the model name from a model list displayed to the user by the common control program.

Abstract: An information control apparatus controls a printer apparatus. The printer apparatus includes a loader which stacks and loads sheets fed from a sheet feeder and then printed. The information control apparatus includes a controller. In a case in which printing performed by the printer apparatus is stopped and is then restarted, the controller performs control so that a sheet which will protrude from other sheets when being loaded in the loader will be fed from the sheet feeder and be loaded in the loader as a sheet to be inserted to indicate a restart position.
Abstract: An information processing system includes a first, second and management apparatus. The first apparatus stores an encrypted document, notifies the management apparatus of a first state of the first apparatus regarding information security requirements, sends information for specifying the first apparatus as a transmission source and information for specifying the second apparatus as a transmission destination to the management apparatus, requests transmission permission to the management apparatus, and transmits the encrypted document to the second apparatus when transmission permission is granted. The second apparatus notifies the management apparatus of a second state of the second apparatus regarding the information security requirements, and receives the encrypted document from the first apparatus.

Abstract: Example implementations described herein are directed to a graphical user interface (GUI) tool that provides representations of generated charts on a map, wherein distances between representations are provided based on similarity between charts. Similarity is determined through machine learning techniques that are applied on a vectorized form of charts. Example implementations described herein encode charts into vectors using deep learning techniques, which facilitates machine learning techniques such as nearest neighbor to be utilized to determine similarity between charts based on their corresponding vectors.
