Abstract: An image reading apparatus includes a memory, a first transmission unit, a reception unit, and a second transmission unit. The memory stores a read image read by an image reading part. The first transmission unit transmits identification information identifying the image reading apparatus to a mobile terminal. The reception unit receives a transfer request for transferring the read image. The transfer request is received from an image forming apparatus receiving the identification information from the mobile terminal. The second transmission unit transmits the read image stored in the memory to the image forming apparatus. The read image is transmitted after the transfer request is received.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes an extractor, a creator, and a sender. The extractor compares items of capability information concerning plural devices and extracts a capability which is not sufficiently provided in a first device but is provided in a second device. The plural devices include the first and second devices. The creator creates a menu to be used in the first device. The first device is able to display the capability extracted by the extractor by using an icon in a mode different from an icon representing another capability and to display device information which indicates that the capability is available in the second device. The sender sends the menu to the first device.

Abstract: A replenishment system includes a rotator, a path, and an accumulator. The rotator is disposed above a transport path along which a developer is transported and below a replenishment path for toner. The rotator rotates about an axis extending in a transport direction of the transport path while holding the developer. The path is provided downstream of the replenishment path in a rotation direction of the rotator, along a part of an outer circumference of the rotator. The path allows the toner from the replenishment path to move therealong in the rotation direction to the transport path. The accumulator is provided in an area including the path and extending from the path outward in a radial direction of the rotator. The accumulator accumulates the developer shifted upward from the transport path.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes plural first transfer units, a second transfer unit, a first transport unit, and a drive unit. The first transfer units transfer an image formed on plural image holding units to an intermediate transfer unit. The second transfer unit transfers the image, which is transferred to the intermediate transfer unit, to a recording medium. The first transport unit transports the recording medium to the second transfer unit. The drive unit drives the intermediate transfer unit with at least some of the plural first transfer units separated from the intermediate transfer unit and with the second transfer unit contacting the intermediate transfer unit when the recording medium, which has been subjected to a transport failure, is transported to a feeding position by the first transport unit.
