  • Patent number: 4572997
Abstract: A variable resistor and a printed circuit board having a velocity control circuit are separated from each other in a switch case. The resistance of the variable resistor changes upon operation of a trigger. An element constituting the variable resistor is electrically connected to a predetermined pattern of the printed circuit board through a coil spring. The heat-generating portion of a thyristor is separated from the printed circuit board. A storage component is formed in a part of the trigger shaft which is located inside the switch case. A threaded portion of an adjusting screw which extends in the shaft of the trigger, threadably engages an engaging member which can slide in the storage compartment of the trigger shaft. A movable member is brought into slidable contact with the variable resistor by the engaging member, so as to change the resistance of the variable resistor when the trigger and/or the adjusting screw is operated.

  • Patent number: 4563663
Abstract: One end of a yoke is arranged near one end of an iron core of an electromagnet. The other end of the yoke is coupled to the other end of the iron core. The one end of the yoke has side walls which oppose the side surfaces of the one end of the iron core, and a bottom which opposes the bottom of the iron core. The magnetic pole at the other end of the iron core is guided to the other end of the yoke. A movable member is disposed at the one end of the iron core. The movable member comprises a permanent magnet disposed at the center of a frame, and iron pieces, one end of each of which abuts against the poles of the permanent magnet. The movable member partially surrounds the iron core so that the iron pieces are located between the iron core and the side walls of the yoke. The movable member is moved in the direction perpendicular to the axis of the iron core by the sum of the magnetic fields of the permanent magnet and the electromagnet.

  • Patent number: 4219714
Abstract: A lock-off switch comprises a switch case, a trigger-like slider and a lock plate rockably attached to the slider and engageable therewith in a locking position so as to prevent a pulling of the trigger-like slider. A release shaft slidably penetrates into the switch case through one side thereof and is coupled to the lock plate by a coupler member. The release shaft is normally urged by a compression coil spring in such a way as to hold the lock plate in engagement with the trigger-like slider in the locked position. When the release shaft is pushed against the urging force of the compression coil spring, the coupler member moves to rock the lock plate out of the engagement with the trigger-like slider, whereby the trigger-like slider can be pulled.

  • Patent number: 4182944
Abstract: A toggle switch has a light emitting diode element (LED) attached to the top end of a knob. The other end of the knob is attached to a rockable member which is supported by a case to be turnable within a predetermined angle. Two lead wires of the LED are inserted, respectively, into two holes in an insulating plastic spring holder fitted in the knob, through one-end openings of the two holes which extend along the axial direction of the spring holder and open at the other end of the knob. A conductive metal coil spring is contained in each hole and each lead wire is inserted into and electrically contacted with its corresponding coil spring at many places. The other opening of the hole is located in the vicinity of the rocking center of the rockable member, at which area is also located a pair of conductive metal terminals for power supply.

  • Patent number: 4180716
Abstract: A lock-off switch comprises a lock plate rotatably disposed on a slider and having a projection at one side and a hole elongated in the lengthwise direction and a pin secured to the slider and loosely fitted in the elongated hole of the lock plate thereby to hold the lock plate rotatably. In the elongated hole of the lock plate a compression spring stretches between the pin and one end of the elongated hole, thus urging the lock plate toward a switch case. The slider has a stopper engageable with the projection of the lock plate thereby to stop the slider. An urging means, such as a compression spring, is provided at the other side of the slider and urging the projection of the lock plate into engagement with the stopper, thereby to prevent the slider from being pushed. To push the slider, the lock plate is rotated against the urging force of the urging means thereby to release the projection of the lock plate from the stopper.

  • Patent number: 4172973
Abstract: Disclosed is a seesaw switch with a light emitting diode element in which a light emitting portion of the light emitting diode element is disposed on the surface of a seesaw button. The base of the light emitting diode element is attached to a holder, lead wires of the element extending along the outer surface of the holder. The holder is received by a receiving portion of a rockable member, which is rockably borne on a case. The rockable member is fitted with a spring-biased rod, which, accompanying the rocking of the rockable member, slides on a movable contact laid on two switching terminals and a common terminal fixed to the bottom portion of the case for seesaw motion. Also fixed to the bottom portion of the case are two terminals for supplying electric power to the light emitting diode element.
