  • Patent number: 10152683
Abstract: A method of demand response (DR) assessment may include reading energy economics data from a third party for an interval of a DR event period. The energy economics data may include a day-ahead demand, a day-ahead locational marginal pricing (LMP), and a real-time LMP. The method may also include estimating a real-time energy demand for the interval. Based on the energy economics data and the estimated real-time energy demand, the method may also include determining a demand imbalance for the interval. The method may also include calculating a cost of a DR event that exploits the demand imbalance. The method may also include selecting an energy curtailment request amount for the interval that optimizes profitability of the DR event.

  • Patent number: 8289701
Abstract: A heat receiver includes a casing defining a flow passage on a thermal conductive plate. The thermal conductive plate is received on an electronic component. The thermal conductive plate serves to transfer heat to coolant in the flow passage. At least two inflow nozzles extend into the casing to have discharge openings opposed to the upstream end of the flow passage. The coolant flows into the flow passage through the inflow nozzles. At least two streams of the coolant are thus generated in the flow passage. The streams widely expand or spread in the flow passage. The coolant flows through the flow passage without stagnating. The coolant can thus absorb the heat of the thermal conductive plate in an efficient manner. This results in an efficient heat absorption of the heat receiver.

  • Patent number: 7614565
Abstract: A load detection circuit 40 detects a load value of a load portion 100 via a terminal DQ. A reference load, corresponding to the load of a probe, is output from a reference load output section. A comparison circuit 60 judges whether the detected load value matches the reference load, and outputs a control signal if matched. If this control signal is input, an input and output buffer 30 stops the output of the data from a memory cell 10 to the terminal DQ, or outputs a specific logic.

  • Publication number: 20060240780
Abstract: Disclosed is a wireless station having a receiver and a network allocation vector associated with each of a plurality of directional antennas. The receivers concurrently listen for frames from remote stations. When any receiver detects a frame from a remote station, the receiver activates its associated NAV. The station has one or more transmitters that can transmit using the antennas. While transmitting a signal using an antenna, the receivers associated with any non-transmitting antennas continue to listen for signals from remote stations. The station cancels any signals from the transmitting antenna received by the non-transmitting antennas. To perform the cancellation, the station performs a self-calibration procedure. The station can self-calibrate by either silencing neighboring stations or by inserting null tones into a transmitted calibration signal.

  • Patent number: 6996020
Abstract: A plurality of dummy bit lines are disposed together with a plurality of bit line pairs in a memory cell array. In selectively driving a memory cell connected to the bit line pair, a timing control circuit controls the timing of the driving operation, based on signal change in the plural dummy bit lines, thereby detecting the influences of the process variation in a plurality of positions in the memory cell array. Thus, the influence of the process variation given to the operation of a semiconductor memory device can be further alleviated, compared with the case when one dummy bit line is used.
