  • Patent number: 6778417
Abstract: This electric-power supplying device comprises switching elements, rectifying elements, and a control circuit. The switching elements are switched according to a switching pulse so as to perform a rectification. The rectifying elements are connected in parallel with the switching elements so as to perform a rectification. The control circuit alters the switching pulse gradually upon switching between the rectification performed by the switching elements and the rectification performed by the rectifying elements.

  • Patent number: 6430063
Abstract: A primary side of a transformer has a switching transistor to on-off control the current flowing in a primary winding on a primary side. A secondary side of the transformer has a commutating side FET to be turned on by applying the induced voltage of a tertiary winding on a secondary side of a current transformer, and a flywheel side FET with the primary winding on the primary side of the current transformer connected thereto in series. The current transformation ratio of the current transformer is small in the initial period when the flywheel side FET is turned on, and then, the current transformation ratio is increased by current controlling means comprising a saturable reactor, a diode or the like.

  • Patent number: 6169675
Abstract: A synchronous rectifying type DC-DC converter including an auxiliary winding, provided on a secondary side of a transformer, for supplying voltages assuming polarities opposite to each other to control terminals of a rectifying switch and of a fly wheel switch, and the rectifying switch and the fly wheel switch are so constructed as not to be turned ON/OFF by a voltage generated on a supply path of an electric current to a load from a secondary winding of the transformer. When connecting a plurality of DC-DC converters in parallel and operating these converters in parallel, an output of any one of the converters stops, and, even if outputs of the other DC-DC converters are inputted to the DC-DC converter concerned and the electric current flows into the current supply path, a voltage based on the above current is not applied to control terminals of the rectifying switch and of the fly wheel switch. The rectifying switch and the fly wheel switch are not therefore turned ON.

  • Patent number: 6122395
Abstract: A dictionary image renewing method in a fingerprint identification device registers images into a dictionary memory as multiple dictionaries. The method includes extracting images from a plurality of fingerprint images determined as being acceptable identification by mutual identification and using the multiple dictionaries to perform identification processing of entered fingerprint images. This includes successively identifying by comparing entered fingerprint images with the dictionary images registered in the multiple dictionaries, and when identification acceptance results with any one of the multiple dictionaries the one dictionary determined as being identification accepted is renewed to the dictionary image registered in any one of the remaining dictionaries. The remaining multiple dictionaries are renewed to the dictionary image extracted from the entered fingerprint images.

  • Patent number: 5995641
Abstract: A fingerprint identification device includes a fingerprint image pickup unit which receives reflected light from a light source to take a picture, and an in-block average luminance calculation unit which divides a fingerprint judging area into a plurality of blocks and calculates average luminance within the blocks according to a multivalued image signal from the fingerprint image pickup unit. A luminance deviation calculation and arrangement unit determines deviation between the in-block average luminance from the in-block average luminance calculation unit and the luminance of each picture element in the judging area to determine the number of picture elements corresponding to the deviation.

  • Patent number: 4912621
Abstract: A current-balance switching regulator in which a plurality of switching power source portions are connected in parallel for the purpose of supplying a stabilized output voltage to a load. Each of the switching power source portions includes a switching control portion for controlling a switching element connected to the primary side of a transformer in accordance with the output voltage on the secondary side of the transformer. Current is detected on the primary side of the portions. When a current unbalance is detected, current balance is arranged by adding the amount of unbalance equally among the portions, so concentration of the load to a particular portion can be prevented. As a result of such averaging, the life of each portion can be lengthened. The portions are connected so that one is made a master and the rest are slaves, so the output voltage can be determined by a variable resistor or the like.
