Abstract: In a paper money accumulation unit (paper money accumulation device) of a paper money handling device, rollers sequentially input paper money from an upper side into a paper money accumulation space. Then, a support member is arranged in a state where the height with respect to an extended line of an input direction becomes large as being away from the rollers to the input direction of the paper money.

Abstract: In a verification object specifying apparatus that specifies a verification object for biometric authentication, a biometric information acquisition unit acquires biometric information from a biometric information source part. An abnormality detection unit detects an abnormal portion in the biometric information source part based on the biometric information. A verification object specifying unit determines whether biometric information located in the abnormal portion is to be included in a verification object, and specifies biometric information to be used as the verification object based on the determination result. The verification object specifying apparatus causes a registration unit to register the biometric information as registration information when serving as a registration apparatus, and causes a verification unit to verify the biometric information against registration information when serving as a verification apparatus.
Abstract: An automatic transaction apparatus communicates with a Web server and performs automatic transaction according to an operation of a user, which makes it easier to create screen content for controlling automatic transaction apparatus which have different functions and units. Objects for each processing of the transaction processing are embedded in a screen content of a Web server, one method in the processing units is called up, and operation of a plurality of I/O units is controlled. This makes it easier to create a screen content which can be commonly used for different automatic transaction apparatus in a general transaction flow, also, parallel control becomes possible and high-speed I/O unit control can be implemented.
Abstract: A biometrics authentication apparatus acquires biometric information by a biometric information acquisition section and acquires first registered information and second registered information by a registered information acquisition section. The biometrics authentication apparatus generates a comparison score from the first registered information and the biometric information, compares the comparison score and a threshold, and outputs an authentication result, by an authentication section. The biometrics authentication apparatus generates a comparison score for each of combinations of two of the biometric information by which success in authentication is obtained, the first registered information, and the second registered information, evaluates the comparison score, and generates an evaluation result, by a comparison evaluation section.

Abstract: A biometrics authentication device utilizes biometrics information and performs individual authentication enables secure modification of authorization details for an authorized agent other than the principal. A verification device verifies biometrics information registered on an IC card against biometrics information detected by a detection unit. When results in satisfactory biometrics authentication, modification of authorization details of an authorized agent, registered on the IC card, is permitted. Authorization details for an authorized agent can be securely modified on a card on which biometrics information for the principal and the authorized agent is registered.
Abstract: A paper sheet receiving/dispensing apparatus includes strip films at least one of which is affixed, on at least one of front and back sides, with marks at intervals of a predetermined pattern in a predetermined shape and in a color different from a color of the strip films, a detection sensor for detecting the marks, and a storage device for storing a table that indicates an association between a roll outer diameter of the strip films wound around a winding drum and driving pulses of a stepping motor. The apparatus calculates the roll outer diameter based on the number of rotations of the winding drum, which is calculated based on detection pulses of the marks, and thicknesses of the strip films and a paper sheet, and controls rotations of the motor with driving pulses read from the table.
Abstract: A proposed printer device drives a conveyance unit to forward the end position of a medium by an amount of feed corresponding to a first boarding pass length from a cutting position, moves a cutter up and down to attempt a cutting operation. When the cutting operation is successfully performed, the boarding pass length of one boarding pass of a series of boarding passes to be processed is set as the first boarding pass length. When the cutting operation is unsuccessfully performed, the conveyance unit is driven to forward the end position of the medium by an amount of feed corresponding to the difference between the first boarding pass length and a second boarding pass length longer than the first boarding pass length, and the cutting operation is attempted again by moving a cutter up and down in the cutting position.
Abstract: A photographing device to photograph an object includes a displaying unit to display an image acquired from the object, an image recording unit to record the image, an enlarged image generating unit to extract a portion or whole of the image displayed on the displaying unit to generate an enlarged image from the image, and a display control unit to display the enlarged image instead of the image on the displaying unit or in an overlapped manner with the image before capturing the image into the image recording unit.

The tag access apparatus has a multi-filler helical antenna which is provided in a direction opposite to the radio wave directivity of the first antenna and which maintains an electric field strength at a central part of the multi-filler helical antenna at a level that allows access to the RFID tag, at the time of access to the RFID tag.
Abstract: A reflection plate is integrally formed with a medium guide placed on a side opposite a side on which a reflective photosensor is placed with a conveying path of banknotes between. Light emitted from a light emitting portion of the reflective photosensor is reflected from the reflection plate at the time of the absence of the banknotes so as not to directly return to the reflective photosensor. This prevents the reflective photosensor from erroneously detecting the medium guide at the time of the absence of media on the basis of light reflected from the medium guide. The medium guide and the reflection plate are integrally formed. Accordingly, additional parts or additional assembly is not required and a low-cost medium detector can be realized.
Abstract: A conveyer belt is looped on rollers placed over and at both ends of a paper sheet storage part and bill holding members for holding bills are fixed onto an outer surface of the conveyer belt at determined interval. The bill holding members themselves have grip force by which the conveyer belt bends inward and the bills are held. When the bill holding members pass over the roller on a reception side, their free ends get apart from the conveyer belt and the bill holding members receive the bills. The bill holding members grip portions near ends of the bills when passing between rollers. When the bill holding members pass under the roller on a release side, their free ends get apart from the conveyer belt. The bill holding members release the bills, allowing the bills to fall onto stacked bills for staking storage.
