Abstract: A data arrangement apparatus calculates evaluation values for individual relocation processes generated based on an access pattern. Each of the relocation processes indicates a relocation of some of a plurality of unit data pieces in a storage device. The data arrangement apparatus selects, amongst influence range levels whose ranges in relation to unit data pieces to be affected by the relocation differ in extent of influence, one influence range level based on the evaluation values and coefficients associated one-to-one with the influence range levels. Based on the extent of influence indicated by the selected influence range level, the data arrangement apparatus determines one or more relocation processes to be executed amongst the generated relocation processes. Based on access status after the determined relocation processes are executed, the data arrangement apparatus updates a coefficient associated with the selected influence range level.
Abstract: The image display control program described below is stored on a recording medium. The program causes a client computer to execute a process including, detecting a stopping signal indicating that operations performed on an image have been stopped, performing control so as not to display images based on image data packets that are received after the detection, opening a second communication port that is different from a first communication port that communicates the image data packets, when the stopping signal is detected, transmitting, to a server via the first communication port, the stopping signal and port identification information of the second communication port, receiving, via the second communication port, a current still image corresponding to the stopping of the operations that the server transmits in response to the stopping signal, and displaying the current still image after an image that has been displayed immediately before the stopping of the operation.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for analyzing cause of link failure, includes: receiving, by a base station where the user equipment is present when a link failure is observed by the user equipment, identification information transmitted by other base stations or the user equipment, the identification information including: identification associated with the user equipment and/or identification of the user equipment in the base station; and determining, by the base station when it determines that the identification information is stored in the base station, that the link failure is resulted from a handover preparation failure.
Abstract: A radio communication method including: storing each of a plurality of associations between each resource size and each data size by a terminal, each data size indicating each size of data capable of being transmitted using an associated resource size, receiving specified data, first control information, and second control information from a base station by the terminal, the specified data being mapped across a plurality of radio resources, each of the plurality of radio resources having each specified frequency bandwidth and each specified time period, the first control information indicating the number of the plurality of radio resources, the second control information indicating an individual resource size allocated for the specified data in each of the plurality of radio resources, obtaining a total data size of the specified data by the terminal based on the first control information, the second control information, and the plurality of associations.

The method includes storing a generated guidance template and a received curation that includes organized electronic items. The method includes scanning content of the received curation at a curation level and comparing the scan of the content with the guidance template. The method includes generating a curation-level assessment of the received content based on the comparison and generating a first suggested modification based on the curation-level assessment. The method includes assessing the received curation at an item level based on accessed electronic sources and generating a second suggested modification based on an item-level assessment. The method includes communicating the suggested modifications.

Abstract: A method and system for selective and per-node XPM compensation may separate wavelengths into short traveling wavelengths (STW) and long traveling wavelengths (LTW) based on transmission distance over their respective optical paths. XPM compensation at ROADM nodes may be selectively performed for the LTW, while the STW may be passed through without XPM compensation, among other functionality at the ROADM nodes.

Abstract: A plurality of internal queues that receives and stores therein packets and that outputs each of the stored packets is included. Then, a transmission side meter counter and a reception side meter counter acquire transmission/reception information on the packets that are stored in each of the internal queues. A control unit creates, on the basis of the transmission/reception information, flow groups to each of which one or a plurality of flows belongs and allocates the internal queues to the flow groups. A scheduler determines, on the basis of the transmission/reception information and previously determined priority of the internal queues, the order in which each of the internal queues is output.

Abstract: A temperature management system includes a detection unit for detecting a temperature of a heat generator, power consumption, and an intake air temperature of the electronics device; a control unit for controlling a manipulated variable to be given to the cooling device so that the temperature of the heat generator becomes close to a target value, wherein the control unit includes controllers assigned respectively to operating ranges of the electronics device and each controller includes a prediction model for predicting a future temperature of the heat generator under conditions set for the corresponding operating range, and a vector distance between a first vector for a current state of the electronic device and a second vector for conditions included in the prediction model is calculated to select the controller that corresponds to the prediction model of the shortest vector distance.
Abstract: An apparatus stores a plurality of partial programs, which are constituent elements of an image recognizing program that detects a position of a template image on an input image. The apparatus creates a plurality of individual programs each being a combination of at least two of the plurality of partial programs, and calculates a similarity map that associates similarity with the template image with each pixel of the input image by using each of the plurality of individual programs. The apparatus calculates fitness for each of the plurality of individual programs, based on a distribution of the similarity map, selects an individual program for which the fitness is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold, from among the plurality of individual programs, and outputs the selected individual program as the image recognizing program.
