Abstract: A terminal component includes a first metal and a second metal overlapped on the first metal. The first metal is provided with a recess where an inside is wider than an opening at a portion overlapped with the second metal. A part of the second metal has entered the recess of the first metal, and the second metal has a portion that has entered a portion of the recess of the first metal where the inside is wider than the opening, and a recess on a surface opposite to the portion that has entered the recess of the first metal. At least a part of the portion of the second metal that has entered the recess of the first metal is metal-joined to the inner surface of the recess of the first metal.

Abstract: A shaft material integrally having a shaft portion and a flange portion is formed by a forging process. The end face of the shaft portion of the shaft material and the end face of the flange portion on the opposite side of the shaft portion are ground relative to the corrected face, and the outer circumferential surface of the shaft material is ground relative to the end faces. This renders the cylindricity of the radial bearing faces formed on the outer periphery of the shaft portion of the produced shaft member to be 3 ?m or lower. Moreover, a shaft material integrally having the shaft portion and flange portion is formed, while simultaneously thrust hydrodynamic groove regions are formed on both end faces of the flange portion. After the forging process, radial hydrodynamic groove regions are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the shaft portion.
Abstract: A low-cost shaft member for hydrodynamic bearing apparatuses restores the pressure balance in a thrust bearing gap formed on both axial sides of the flange portion in an early stage. A shaft material integrally having a shaft portion and a flange portion with a through-hole between both end faces of the flange portion is formed in a common forging step. As a result, the through-hole is formed to open to an inner diameter side of the bearing gaps avoiding the thrust bearing gaps formed on both end faces of the flange portion of the shaft member as a finished product.

Abstract: A generation of rust or electric corrosion between a rivet and a member is prevented by enhancing a degree of sealing between the rivet and the member. A first enlarged-diameter portion 16 and a second enlarged-diameter portion 20 are provided between a head part 12 and a leg part 14 of a rivet 10. A space portion 32 is formed among an upper layer workpiece 24, the first enlarged-diameter portion 16 and the second enlarged-diameter portion 20 in a state where the rivet 10 is driven into the upper layer workpiece 24 and a lower layer workpiece 26. Because of the existence of the space portion 32, the contact between the upper layer workpiece 24 and the first enlarged-diameter portion 16, and between the upper layer workpiece 24 and the second enlarged-diameter portion 20 can be secured. Therefore, the degree of sealing between the rivet 10 and the upper layer workpiece 24 is improved.
