Abstract: Systems and methods for securely accessing a legacy system are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a method for securely accessing a legacy system via an enterprise system includes requesting issuance of a security token by an STS server of a security token service, causing, by an enterprise server of an enterprise system, association of a first user account with the security token upon reception of the security token, communicating the security token to an access server of a legacy access provider for authentication of the security token, enabling creation of a second user account after the legacy access provider authenticates the security token, accessing a legacy server of a legacy system via the first user account and the second user account, and causing at least the second user account to be deleted after a single use of the legacy system.

Abstract: A method of time entry on a graphical user interface (GUI) of a computer system includes receiving via the GUI information related to an event, determining, by an electronic controller, that the event has occurred, determining, by the electronic controller, that the event relates to a name in a contact list stored in a storage device of the computer system, and arranging on the GUI a time entry interface to prompt a user to enter information related to a matter.

Abstract: The present invention consists of an improved system and method for timekeeping and billing in professional services firms such as those in the areas of law, accounting, architecture and engineering. In the present invention, systems and methods are developed for improved development and management of client budgets where expenditures are continually traced and electronic notices of progress may be automatically transmitted to the client or customer. In addition, security is enhanced by providing security by employee name, level or job title for sensitive client information. Volume discounts can be automatically applied across client name, phase, matter or activity. The client may be provided with an online account secure with an unique ID and password. The system can also handle multiple currencies, payment methods and languages. Clients may be provided with interim bills in real time, as work progresses.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for capturing tracked activity data and synchronizing the tracked activity data across multiple devices. One of the methods includes, a controller, in communication with a plurality of user devices, receiving identification of activities to be tracked from a first user device of a group of user devices associated with a single user identification. Thereafter, the controller receives the tracked activity data from any user device of the group of user devices, and sends the tracked activity data to the other user devices of the group of user devices. The method includes generating a user interface based on the identified activities, the tracked activity data, and the additional tracked activity data from other user devices. The method includes generating a time entry by populating a time entry template based on the selected activity data.

The improved system and method manipulates, stores, and reports on ledger items including, but not limited to: statutory cash ledgers, cash and accrual ledgers, and management cash ledgers and similar accounting ledgers commonly utilized in the relevant art of professional time, record and accounting keeping.
