Abstract: A television includes a power supply circuit including a transformer that converts input voltage to output voltage, an input voltage monitoring circuit that monitors the input voltage based on a voltage value of a primary side or a secondary side of the transformer, and a control unit that determines whether or not the input voltage exceeds a specified value based on monitoring results of the input voltage monitoring circuit and provides a warning or notification that the input voltage is excessive when it is determined that the input voltage exceeds the specified value.

Abstract: A method for driving an optical pickup apparatus which improves the durability of components that drive a movable lens that moves back and forth between an original position and a drive-limit position and achieves stable operability and an extended lifetime of the optical pickup apparatus performs a first step-drive in which a movable lens moves to an original-restoration start position by being driven a specified distance toward a drive-limit position, a second step-drive in which the movable lens thereafter moves to an original position by being driven toward the original position a distance equivalent to the distance from the drive-limit position to the original position, and a third step-drive in which the movable lens thereafter moves to a default position by being driven a specified distance.

Abstract: An information processing device is configured to communicate with a network device via a network using UPnP (Universal Plug and Play). The information processing device includes a management component and a memory component. The management component is configured to manage a plurality of service URLs (Uniform Resource Locator) of the network device with the service URLs specifying locations of XML (Extensive Markup Language) files that indicate different services provided by the network device. The memory component is configured to store a management record of the service URLs of the network device with the management record having a common record that includes a MAC (Media Access Control) address, an IP (Internet Protocol) address and a port number of the network device, and a plurality of service records that includes a plurality of directory file paths to the XML files.

Abstract: The photo printer has a conveyance unit, a printing unit, line sensors and a control unit. The conveyance unit conveys a roll paper along a conveyance path. The printing unit has a thermal head that prints images on the roll paper in a main scanning direction, which is perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the roll paper. The line sensors have a plurality of light emitting elements and light receiving elements disposed so as to span side edges of the conveyance path. The line sensors detect the roll paper on the conveyance path based on an amount of light received by the light receiving elements. The control unit detects a side edge of the roll paper, and also determines that a distal end of the roll paper is detected, based on the amount of light received by the light receiving elements.

Abstract: A circuit device provided in a video signal processing apparatus. The circuit device includes a tuner for tuning a television signal, an IF amplifier for demodulating the television signal, and an RF converter having an RF oscillator for modulating video and audio signals into a television signal in a VHF band. The tuner, IF amplifier and RF converter are accommodated in a shield case. Further, the circuit device includes a circuit including a resonance circuit having a coil and a capacitor for controlling an oscillation frequency of the RF oscillator and a switch for switching a parameter of the resonance circuit to vary the oscillation frequency.
