Patent number: 11779015Abstract: Disclosed herein are novel pesticide compounds and compositions. In particular, pesticide compositions comprising one or more pesticide volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are disclosed, wherein the pesticide is for Drosophila spp. and the one or more pesticide VOCs have the molecular formula CaHbOc wherein: a is between 4 and 13; b is 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24; c is 1 or 2. The VOCs are linear, branched or cyclic alkanes or alkenes, and comprise a single ketone, aldehyde, alcohol or ester functionality, and wherein any cyclic alkane or alkene is selected from the group consisting of cyclohexane, cyclopentane, cyclopentene and cyclopentadiene. Also disclosed are Drosophila spp. pesticide compositions comprising one or more pesticide VOCs with the molecular formula of (formula I) wherein R1 is OH or absent, and R2 is an aldehyde functional group or a linear or branched alkane or alkene with 1 to 5 carbons and a single ester functional group.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2018Date of Patent: October 10, 2023Assignee: FUNDACIÓ CENTRE DE REGULACIÓ GENÓMICAInventors: Elie Marina-Lora Fink, Matthieu Robert Paul Julien Cecile Guy Louis

Patent number: 10745450Abstract: The invention provides a series of peptide signals which, when linked to a polypeptide of interest (POI), ensure that said polypeptide is secreted in high yields by a host cell such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae. The invention also provides fusion proteins tagged with said peptide signals, the nucleic acid sequences coding for them, host cells comprising said tagged fusion proteins and a variety of uses of the fusion proteins and the host cells.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2016Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Assignees: FUNDACIÓ CENTRE DE REGULACIÓ GENÓMICA (CRG), INSTITUCIÓ CATALANA DE RECERCA I ESTUDIS AVANÇATSInventors: Bernhard Paetzold, Maria Lluch Senar, Luis Serrano Pubul

Patent number: 10564167Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for detecting the chromatin state of a cell based on recording a super resolution image of nucleosome organization and correlating said imaged with size of nucleosomal clutches, nucleosomal density and/or number of nucleosomes per nucleosomal clutches. Additionally, the invention relates to a kit comprising a first antibody capable of specifically binding to a histone protein and a photoswitchable fluorophore linked-secondary antibody and the use of the kit of the invention for detecting the chromatin state of a cell and isolating a cell in an open chromatin state or in a closed chromatin state. The invention also relates to a device adapted to detect the chromatin state of a cell.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2015Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignees: FUNDACIÓ INSTITUT DE CIÈNCIES FOTÓNEQUES, FUNDACIÓ CENTRE DE REGULACIÓ GENÒMICA, INSTITUCIÓ CATALANA DE RECERCA↑ESTUDIS AVANçATSInventors: Melike Lakadamyali, Carlo Manzo, Maria Aurelia Ricci, Maria Pia Cosma

Patent number: 9732129Abstract: Disclosed herein are zinc finger peptides having at least 4 zinc finger domains, such as 6, 11, 12 or 18 zinc finger domains. The zinc finger peptides may be fused to effector domains for modulating gene expression. Zinc finger peptides of the invention are useful for targeting trinucleotide-repeat sequences in mutant genes and may have applications in gene therapy. The zinc finger peptides may have nucleic acid recognition sequences according to SEQ ID NO: 101. Also disclosed are methods for constructing poly-zinc finger peptides having arrays of at least 8 zinc finger domains, along with zinc finger frameworks that may be useful for selecting zinc finger peptides from libraries.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2015Date of Patent: August 15, 2017Assignee: Fundacio Centre de Regulacio GenomicaInventors: Mark Isalan, Mireia Garriga-Canut
