Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a portable device to detect a genetic material in a biological sample using the technique known as PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction). The device comprises a reaction chamber which incorporates means of heating arranged to heat said chamber. The detection method is characterized in that the main phases are performed in the reaction chamber. The miniaturized system has the object of increasing efficiency, simplicity of use and the portability of the PCR in comparison with laboratory scale analysis.
