Patents Assigned to Fungi-Gulp Pty. Ltd.
  • Publication number: 20060124541
Abstract: A process for treatment of waste activated sludge from a BNR process, which includes the steps of: (a) concentration of the activated sludge from a total solids content (dry weight) of 0.1-1.0% w/v to an increased solids content of 1.5-5.0% w/v, wherein said solids largely contain bacterial biomass from prior aeration of the activated sludge; (b) disrupting bacterial cells contained in the biomass so as to release fermentable nutrients from said bacterial cells; (c) passing the activated sludge from step (b) through an anaerobic digester system; and (d) removing N and/or P from the residue obtained after step (c).

  • Patent number: 6824683
Abstract: A process of waste treatment which includes the following steps: (a) passing waste material comprising an insoluble component through an anaerobic bioreactor system including a plurality of bioreactors in series and maintaining said insoluble component as a suspension in the waste material, whereby the pH of the waste material is maintained below 4.9 for a period of at least 24 hours; b) aerating the waste material after step (a); and (c) removing the insoluble component from the waste material before or after step (b). The process also provides for successful treatment of greasetrap waste.

  • Patent number: 5725770
Abstract: A waste treatment process including the steps of: (i) passing waste material which may comprise animal or human faeces comprising an insoluble component such as lignocellulose through a bioreactor system including a plurality of bioreactors in series and maintaining said insoluble component as a suspension in said waste material; and (ii) separating suitably by filtration the insoluble component from the waste material. A waste treatment plant including: (i) a bioreactor system including a plurality of bioreactors in series for treatment of waste material; (ii) means such as filtration for separating an insoluble component from said waste material after passage through the bioreactor system.
