Patent number: 12550986Abstract: A carry bag assembly that includes a first shoulder bag and a smaller second hand bag. The two bags can be carried separately as a unit. The first shoulder bag has a front surface, a rear surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. Two bands extend from the shoulder bag that extend beyond the front surface of the shoulder bag. The second hand bag contains a first belt loop and a second belt loop. The belt loops receive the bands that extend from the shoulder bag. Mechanical connectors connecting the first band to the second band around the hand bag. This selectively locks the smaller hand bag into a fixed position against the front surface of the larger shoulder bag. The two bags can share graphics of design themes so that the two bags appear to be a single unit when attached.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2023Date of Patent: February 17, 2026Assignee: Funko, LLCInventors: Laci Marie Wilson, Elisabeth DeSilva, Monique Herrera, Domonique Janae Battle, Desiree Navarro-Silverman

Patent number: 12482380Abstract: Greeting devices are described herein. In some embodiments, a greeting device includes a first shell, a second shell, and a hinge pivotally coupling the first shell to the second shell. The first shell can be configured to carry or house a first substrate, and/or the second shell can be configured to carry or house second substrate. One or both of the first and second substrates can be configured to carry or display a media item, such as a message or greeting. The greeting device can be transitionable between a first configuration in which the first substrate and the second substrate face each other, and a second configuration in which the first substrate and the second substrate face away from each other.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2023Date of Patent: November 25, 2025Assignee: FUNKO, LLCInventor: Thomas M. Patent number: 12290154Abstract: A carry bag is provided that has exterior surfaces. A cut-out panel is provided that is configured with a character with a theme that is shared by graphics used on the exterior surfaces of the carry bag. A mounting system is used to join the cut-out panel to the carry bag or to a pocket extension on the carry bag. The mounting system enables the cut-out panel to move through a range of motion relative to the carry bag while remaining attached to the carry bag. At least some of the cut-out panel covers at least some of the exterior surfaces of the carry bag at some positions within its range of motion. In this manner, at least some of the cut-out panel is visible on the exterior of the carry bag and the position of the cut-out panel can be selectively altered by the user.Type: GrantFiled: March 17, 2023Date of Patent: May 6, 2025Assignee: FUNKO, LLCInventors: Laci Marie Wilson, Elisabeth DeSilva, Monique Herrera, Domonique Janae Battle, Desiree Navarro-Silverman

Patent number: 11922828Abstract: Greeting devices are described herein. In some embodiments, the greeting device can include an elongate body having a first end portion defining a chamber, and a second end portion opposite the first end portion. A message module can be positioned at least partially within the chamber. The greeting device can further include a first arm pivotably coupled to a first side of the body, and a second arm pivotably coupled to a second side of the body opposite the first side. An actuation mechanism can be operably coupled to the body. When actuated, the actuation mechanism can be configured to: (i) pivot the first and second arms relative to the body in a first direction toward the message module; and (ii) move the message module in a first direction from the chamber to extend at least partially beyond the body.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Funko, LLCInventors: Thomas M. Patent number: 11648483Abstract: Sound-generating toys are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a sound-generating toy includes a squeezable body defining an internal chamber. A sound-generating module is positioned within the chamber. The module can include a housing containing (i) an airflow sensor configured to detect a pressure change in the chamber, (ii) a speaker configured to generate an audio output, and (iii) programmable circuitry operably coupled to the airflow sensor and the speaker. In operation, the airflow sensor can detect a pressure change in the chamber caused by a user squeezing the body of the toy, and can output a signal to the programmable circuitry indicating the pressure change. After receiving the signal indicating the pressure change, the programmable circuitry can drive the speaker to generate the audio output.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2020Date of Patent: May 16, 2023Assignee: Funko, LLCInventor: Thomas M. Patent number: 11491410Abstract: Toys having interchangeable parts are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a toy includes two or more toy components or modules that can be releasably coupled together. Each toy component can include a (i) a body defining a sound-reflecting chamber having an opening and (ii) a fastener assembly coupled to the body. The fastener assembly can include a base and a fastener positioned in a recess of the base. The base can be positioned over the opening of the sound-reflecting chamber and coupled to the body. The fastener is configured to generate sound when the fastener is engaged to and/or disengaged from the mating fastener of another toy component, and the sound-reflecting chamber is configured to reflect the sound out of the body.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 2020Date of Patent: November 8, 2022Assignee: Funko, LLCInventor: Thomas M.
