    Abstract: Provided is a current collector which has a PTC layer having room for thermal expansion at elevated temperature while securing sufficient conductivity at normal temperature. According to the invention, a current collector comprising a conductive base material, and a resin layer formed on at least one surface of the conductive base material is provided. The resin layer contains an organic resin and conductive particles. A deposition amount of the resin layer on the conductive base material is 0.5 to 20 g/m2. Rz (ten point average roughness) of the surface of the resin layer is 0.4 to 10 ?m. Sm (average spacing of ruggedness) of the surface of the resin layer is 5 to 200 ?m. An average of resistance of the resin layer measured by the two-terminal method is 0.5 to 50 ?.

    Abstract: A multilayer insulated wire, comprising: a conductor; and at least three extruded insulation layers covering the conductor, which extruded insulation layers comprise: (A) an outermost layer composed of an extruded covering layer of a resin whose elongation rate after heat treatment by immersion in a solder at 150° C. for two seconds is at least 290% and at least equal to elongation rate before the heat treatment; (B) an innermost layer comprising a resin whose elongation rate after heat treatment by immersion in a solder at 150° C. for two seconds is at least 290% and at least equal to elongation rate before the heat treatment; and (C) an insulation layer that is placed between the outermost layer and the innermost layer and that is composed of an extruded covering layer of a crystalline resin with a melting point of at least 280° C. or an amorphous resin with a glass transition temperature of at least 200° C.; and a transformer having the multilayer insulated wire.

    Abstract: In a heating drawing, a base material glass plate is heated and softened in a heating furnace, and drawn to a desired thickness to form a glass strip. In the heating drawing, the base material glass plate is heated so that the base material glass plate has a U-shaped temperature distribution in a width direction. Such process can be realized through heating by a heating element which has a non-heating portion at a position opposite to a central portion of the base material glass plate in the width direction and a heating portion on both sides of the non-heating portion. Thus provided is a method of manufacturing a glass strip, the method includes heating and softening the base material glass plate, and drawing the base material glass plate to a desirable thickness to form a glass strip, and is capable of manufacturing a thin, rod-like glass strip with an excellent flatness.

An optical repeater according to the present invention comprises the above-mentioned Raman amplifier and adapted to compensate loss in an optical fiber transmission line by the Raman amplifier. In a Raman amplification method according to the present invention, the shorter the central wavelength of the pumping light the higher light power of said pumping light.

    Abstract: This invention proposes a control device for an electric source supply, providing a function which prevents battery death of a vehicle. A lamp main relay turns a lamp main relay 3 off in case an ignition switch 1a is off and also when a door state is not changed over time T1 which is predetermined with a timer Tm1, and cuts off an electric source supply to an interior dome lamp 5, door lamps 6a, 6b, 6c of D-seat, P-seat, R-seat in order to prevent battery death. Further, a door/interior dome lamp control part 2c turns the interior dome lamp 5 and the door lamps in response to opened-doors off when doors are not closed more than time T2 which is predetermined with timer means Tm2 in order to prevent battery death. A warning signal may be generated before the control for preventing battery death or during the control mode for preventing battery death.
