Abstract: Methods and systems for determining compliance of a policy on a target hardware asset are disclosed. In an embodiment, based on the policy, a command is generated at a host computing device. Subsequently, the command is transmitted to an I/O port of the target hardware asset over a communication channel. Further, a processor of the target hardware asset facilitates execution of the command. Based on the execution, a response may be generated. The response may be analyzed in order to determine compliance of the policy. Further in an embodiment, a priority level of the command may be controlled. The priority level determines allocation of a computing resource for execution of the command. The computing resource may be obtained from a computing resource pool including the processor and at least one virtual computing resource.
