  • Patent number: 6670295
Abstract: The present invention relates to a highly active midbarrel hydrocracking catalyst and a process for the preparation thereof. The support of the catalyst comprises a modified zeolite-Y, a modified zeolite-&bgr;, alumina, etc. The composite of the modified zeolite-Y and zeolite-&bgr; exhibits a good synergistically catalytic effect. The catalyst prepared by supporting Group VIB and/or Group VIII metal components is useful in the hydrocacking of heavy oils with high content of sulfur and nitrogen to produce high quality middle distillates with maximum output. The activity of and selectivity to middle distillates of the catalyst are remarkably raised simultaneously. Moreover, the solidifying point of the produced diesel is remarkably lowered.

  • Patent number: 6413412
Abstract: This invention discloses a single-stage process for producing diesel oils of superior quality and low solidifying point from fraction oils under controlled reaction conditions, comprising a hydrorefining step, optionally a hydroupgrading step and a hydrodewaxing step combined in series. The process of the invention is simplified, the operation is simple, the adaptability to feedstocks is good, and the quality of diesel oil product is improved, and when the hydroupgrading step is comprised, the cetane number of the product is further boosted. A hydrorefining catalyst having a higher content of NiO and good anti-coking performance and a hydroupgrading catalyst and hydrodewaxing catalyst having an adequate acidity and strong resistance to NH3 and H2S respectively are preferably used in the present invention to achieve better results.

  • Patent number: 6207611
Abstract: A catalyst for hydrodemetalization of heavy oil, especially residuum oil, and a process for preparing the same, wherein said catalyst comprises the metal elements of Groups VIII and/or VIB as active components supported on an alumina carrier having large pores. The total pore volume of said carrier is in the range of 0.80˜1.20 ml/g (by mercury porosimetry method), the specific surface area in the range of 110˜200 m2/g, the peak pore diameter in the range of 15˜20 nm, and the bulk density in the range of 0.50˜0.60 g/ml. In the process of the invention, a physical pore-enlarging agent and a chemical pore-enlarging agent are added simultaneously during the mixing of the pseudoboehmite to a plastic mass, then extruding, drying, calcining, the carrier is obtained, then impregnating with active components by spraying onto the carrier, after drying and calcining, the catalyst is obtained.
