  • Publication number: 20010006329
Abstract: In a fluorescent display device having control electrodes and anodes, each anode having an anode electrode and a fluorescent layer formed thereon, a filament is installed between the control electrodes and the anode electrodes. When an anode is selected to be turned on to emit light, a first voltage (V1) is applied to the filament, a second voltage (V2) is applied to the selected anode and a third voltage (V3) is applied to a control electrode facing the selected anode, wherein V2 is greater than V1 and V3 is equal to or greater than V1. When a voltage applied to a target control electrode is lower than a voltage applied to the filament by more than a predetermined voltage difference, an anode facing the target control electrode is not turned on to emit light even when V2 is applied thereto.

  • Patent number: 6243125
Abstract: An optical printer head capable of minimizing production of a ghost by incidence of light reflected on a filter holding hole. Light emitted from a light source is reflected out of a maximum allowable incident angle to minimize generation of a ghost due to incidence of reflected light on a selfoc lens array while reducing a size of a filter holding hole for holding each of filters therein. Also, a peripheral surface of the filter holding hole may be rendered rough, to thereby provide a scattering surface, resulting in preventing repeated reflection of light emitted from the light source on the peripheral surface of the filter holding hole.

  • Patent number: 6226028
Abstract: An optical printer head capable of preventing catching between a filter holder and a luminous tube to prevent production of dust and attaining replacement of the luminous tube without exposing filters to an ambient atmosphere. A filter holder is arranged separately from a light source and an selfoc lens array, to thereby prevent production of dust from the filter holder due to contact of the filter holder with the light source and selfoc lens array. A base is arranged so as to receive only the filter holder therein, to thereby prevent the filters held on the filter holder from being exposed to an ambient atmosphere, resulting in dust being kept from adhering to the filters. A pair of light passages are formed on a light path and closed with a light-permeable cover to sealedly close the base, to thereby prevent dust from intruding into the base during replacement of the light source.

  • Patent number: 6100755
Abstract: A phase decision circuit that can reduce the memory capacity of a ROM forming a look-up table. The quadrant decision section judges the quadrant to which an input signal belongs. The address conversion section converts the I-component digital signal and the Q-component digital signal of an input signal into address data based on the quadrant data. The phase angle data is read out of the ROM look-up table based on the converted address data so that the memory capacity of a ROM forming the ROM look-up table can be reduced to 1/8 of that of the conventional table, for example, in the QPSK modulation.

  • Patent number: 6088633
Abstract: A mobile body controlling gear is provided that can suppress an occurrence of yaw motion due to an offset when the P control is switched to the PID control. The yaw-axis control signal Ep is added to the control signal from the P/PID controller. The added signal is input to the actuator. The yaw-axis driving unit performs yaw-axis control. The yaw-axis angular velocity detection sensor signal Sa is compared with the reference signal r. Then the P/PID controller receives the comparison signal. The reference value memory holds the yaw-axis control signal Ep immediately before the P/PID switching unit switches the P control mode to the PID control mode. The yaw-axis control signal Ep is handled as the reference signal rb for the PID control. The reference value rb is added to the angular velocity zero detection reference value rz and to the yaw-axis control signal Ep. The resultant sum is input to the PID terminal of the P/PID switching unit.

  • Patent number: 6067819
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a glass container and an apparatus therefor capable of providing the container by pressing of a glass substrate using a die while keeping the glass substrate uniformly heated and softened. The glass substrate is heated while being kept lifted from a lower mold of a forming die and then subject to integral forming by the forming die. This permits the glass substrate to be integrally formed into the glass container in the form of a finished product, resulting in the number of steps and time required for processing being reduced.

  • Patent number: 6060841
Abstract: A field emission element that can prevent one cathode electrode line from being completely disabled due to a short circuit between an emitter electrode and a gate electrode. One cathode electrode line consists of a stripe cathode conductor and plural island electrodes arranged on the one side of the cathode conductor. The gate electrode is disposed on the insulating layer overlaying the upper surface of each island electrode. The first resistance layer and the second resistance layer each having a different resistance value are laminated in a current control resistance layer. When excessive current flows through the emitter cone, the laminated thick-film portion is destroyed so that only the island electrode connected to the emitter cone is electrically separated off from the cathode conductor. One second resistance layer is locally laminated on the first resistance layer and for each of plural island electrodes.

  • Patent number: 5999206
Abstract: A light-amount correction dynamic range expanding device that can increase the number of exposure gray levels without increasing the memory capacity of the storage section for light-amount correction. Input data is formed of (n+k) bits to increase exposure gray-scale level. A first look-up table stores the output densities to the number of exposure gray levels for photosensitive substances classified by photosensitivity. Of (n+k) bits output from the first table, a first selector selectively outputs only effective n bits to a second table 2 to use m bits needed for a photosensitive substance. The second look-up table stores brightness information to correct variations in brightness between luminous dots of a print head, with a memory capacity of n bits. A FIFO memory temporarily stores the brightness information. A selector 2 again converts the output from the FIFO memory into a (n+k)-bit form and ten it to a gray-scale control means.
